Made our deposit just a few moments ago, first Scion sales rep didn't know anything, but he called the Scion Sales Manager at home who knew what to do.

Also was told another person had called the same dealership this morning and he too was in First 86...

just went to put the deposit at the dealer and they didnt have a clue of what was going on. I had to show them the email conf.

Try and track him down and send him this way

I have a feeling they are going to distribute them where they feel it will benefit the car scene the most. Places like Vegas, Socal, Florida, etc will probably have a slightly higher allocation.

Maybe this communication breakdown can be exploited (momentarily) as dealers sort things out w/ corporate. Any Joe can walk in, assert they're a First 86 winner (helps to bring an email printout identical to the winning notification emails), put down a deposit, and dealer makes the order. The nation would have 86 cars on order before all 86 true winners put down their deposits. But Scion can't turn away the real winners so they'll have to order more (100++) from Japan. Might be worth a shot w/ nothing to lose.
