I think it's unlikely someone would actually go through people's glove compartment unless they saw you put it in. Then again it wouldn't be the first time theft happened at a car event.

My goal isn't to blame anybody. I could have dropped it although I know where I put it last. Hopefully it shows up or I at least get my ID back. I had a great time and I really enjoyed meeting everybody there and losing a bit of money definitely won't ruin that.

Sorry to hear. Were you at the DDA today? It's always a nice bunch, but the area was pretty open with other groups and spectators so you can never be too sure. Talk to Moto and the crew tomorrow to see if it turns up. In the mean time, monitor your credit card usage, and better yet, notify your bank/CC companies.

I checked everything like 10 times over now. If I end up having it I'd be astonished. I know exactly where I left it and its just not there. All cards are canceled now I'm just hoping for my ID. Thanks for asking though!

NEVER leave your wallet in the glove compartment unless you lock it. I don't feel bad for you if you left it there and someone took it. Although I hope you get it back. At least you didn't leave your keys in the ignition and are looking for your car right now.

Wallet found! My bad guys. Thanks for the concern. It fell behind the glove compartment into the cavity behind the radio. I never would have known it was possible. Sorry for all the posts

If Moto hadn't told me that he lost his registration in the same hole I never would have found it. Really glad somebody didnt take it and me leaving my car open wasn't an issue.

Now how do I delete this thread

don't delete this thread! i'd never have known about the existence of the 'hole' without it. i'm willing to bet someone's going to lose something the same way. this is good info.
maybe you can change the thread title to 'beware when putting small items in glove compartment'.
