Wouldn't mind those wheel at all if they came like so from factory if they had more concavity and maybe one colored.

Someone has to. They look 10 times better when they are painted a single color. The two color deal they have going on is just too busy. I do like them in all black.

I too am a fan of the stock wheels. These new BBS look way cleaner though. Keeps the same idea, but does it much better. The only other rims I really like are the 5 axis ones. I would definitely buy these though.

The reason why I myself really love those wheels so much.

That and I also find it extremely appealing having 18" for the "strut" value (looks) and the thought that Tada-san has gone to not only the trouble to tune suspension to match the increased size / weight, but also to improve the ride even further with better dampening.

I totally appreciate that the intention was to have a base car that would satisfy the moders scene, but I also find it appealing to have the choice to throw some more money at Toyota and say hey.. I'll take a fully loaded 86 GTS, tick the TRD body kit box along with this wheel and suspension box and have a fully resolved car loaded with goodies and be covered by full factory warranty.

The cherry on top of the cake would obviously be a power boost

Stock size Michelin PSS's, Swift Springs and Koni Shocks will better this package at a much lower cost.
No doubt the wheels, from the Concept 86, are beautiful!
Will Scion offer it at a fair price? Who knows.

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned that there are two other things missing:

Power
Brakes

This package addresses neither of them. All this grip without more power and better brakes is pointless. Why, oh why, won't they release the version we really want?

You're right about the brakes. DBA T3, Feredo 2500 and Vorshlag lines created a different car, for the better.

And people want to trade just to get these parts, when they will most likely change them anyways.. I mean the stock tires don't last for ever anyway.. So Toyota giving better tires won't make me want to trade, rims don't look good to me so I'd change them out, and if plan on RSR coilovers anyway, which had better perform better then these shocks.. So I don't see the need to want a new one yet.. And as far as power, unless the get rid of the dip, I am already close to 200hp at the wheels.. So again I don't see the reason to take the hit on a trade in yet..

If Toyota makes a 300hp blown monster, I guess I'd think about it

I agree.
