That will be great to see.... I know twin kits are a bit more hefty in price but if i were given the option to try this platform I would do it because I prefer twin over single.... Love the no lag and power all around....

@FA20Club.com Not to be off topic or derail the thread but how well do this car or other turbo twins run when pushed at a psi different than what it was tuned at. (Tuned at 12 psi, but run at 8 psi as a DD for example). I do know its risky to turn the boost up higher than what was tuned for. But how much so?

Great build btw.

It has been discussed many times, and it simply is not as efficient as a properly sized single. And I have been an S2k owner for 6 years, and I only saw one guy attempt a twin turbo projoct. He ran into major issues and fell off the face of ther earth. There are single turbo S2k's producing 800whp on stock block, and 1k+ on buit engines.

It has been discussed, but no one has any hard data which is why we are making a twin kit. Even if it does suck at least everyone will know why/how. Someone has to be willing to spend the time and money even on projects that might fail in order for this platform to continue to progress.

I totally agree. Im not saying im hating on the idea, just have seen others try and fail. But your right, I have not seen one on this platform, so I don't have an hard data or facts. I think if you have the time and money, why not try it.

My last car was a 135i, which was twin turbo. It made 90% of it's torque from 1400rpm on up, and it was an absolute joy to drive.
Towards redline it did run out of steam, but there wasn't much need to wring the motor's neck, as it had so much mid-range torque it was faster when shifted before redline.

I would think a twin turbo setup with small turbos would give similar power, big low and mid-range torque with not as much top-end power as a big single turbo, but I would think it would be vastly more drivable, IF someone were to get it all to work.

Typical twin turbo set ups from the 90's (RX-7, Supra) used sequential turbos, a smaller one to spool quickly for low end torque and midrange, and a larger once that takes over for the top end.

No one gives a poop on peak HP except stoplight racers or 1/4 mile guys, especially the current BNR32 owners.
