WTF am I reading. This guy wants military benefits for going on a few jogs with a recruiter in highschool but never joined and instead delivers pizza? Am I reading this right?

Yes read the whole thing. Seems everyone these days are trying to find an angle for getting their government handout. How about giving rather than asking... Pick up the check (anonomously)for a military man next time you see one enjoying a meal in a restaurant.

JMHO
In that case, your JMHO is dumb because it should be the other way around. A military man should be picking up tabs non-anonymously for civvies because without those tax dollars, there'd be no military man. You sound like every other public employee that just wants to bleed taxpayers dry.

Or...you know...you could be more critical of sources and realize that you're being trolled.

ow am I bleeding tax payers dry by picking up a tab for a military man? The main purpose of the federal government is for the protection of the nation... basic civics, hence the tax dollars spent. Hold on spend they instead on Obama phones!

Wrong, I'm not near a public employee, furthest from it. FYI, I own my own furniture business and am a proud employer of an ex service man (navy). I'm one of the small business people driving what is left of this economy. In addition, I wore the uniform of a police officer for 4 years in a past life and understand how unappreciated many of our civil law enforcement and military people are. Will alway try to pick up the tab for them if possible. It's the least I can do. They also get a 10% discount and free delivery in my store.

Thought about posting a reply, just sick and tired of all the people out there wanting all these handouts. Want something, get off your ass and put in the work required to achieve it.

You guys do know that The Duffle Blog is sort of like The Onion for the military right? If I had a nickel for every "I almost joined" story I've heard I wouldn't have to work for a living.
