@ayuk,

To enable the DRL on the 86, just add a relay in the DRL slot of the fusebox located in the engine. The DRL will light up when the car is running and the handbrake is disengaged.

For the BRZ, aside from adding the relay, you will have to buy and install the BRZ LED DRL assembly which will have to be installed above the foglights on the bumper.

@ayuk,

It's not a fuse, its a relay on the engine fusebox. The relay type for the DRL is the same as that of the horn relay. If you want to test the DRL function, temporarily use the horn relay and place it in the DRL location. The diagram and the relay locations are as follows:

The red box is the DRL relay location, the green box is Horn relay location.

When you are going to buy a relay for the DRL, just bring the horn relay as your sample. Remember when testing your DRL, the engine must be turned on and the handbrake disengaged.

nice to know that you just need a relay for you to have the DRL in the 86 work though i wish they just made it work just like the usual DRL wherein as long as the ignition is on, the DRL lights up as well

@pcuerpo,

The 86/brz actually follows the standard DRL implementation of the DRL lighting up whenever the engine is running and the handbrake is deactivated. They should turn off when the headlights, parklights, or foglights are turned on or when the handbrake is activated.
