Get a loaner spring compressor from any major auto parts store. It shouldn't take you very long to do it. If it's your first time working on this car, try referring to shop manual for torque specs and etc.

You can check out Forman Performance in Costa Mesa. They are a Subaru specialty shop but will gladly work on the BRZ's sister car

question: if my dad ever wanted to long term drive my car or buy another BRZ/FRS (he really loves it, just hates the stiffness), are there viable options for making the ride more soft (comparable to a Camry or Accord) via suspension mods? Total nub at this stuff

I wouldn't mind if it's under shade and not hot. Back when I had my S2K and lived in Hawaii we used to have install meets once in awhile. Would be cool to have those in Socal

well i have a garage we could do the install in. I would have to rent some of the parts we'll need to get the install done. Located in fullerton. Supposed to be high 70's low 80's this weekend. :happy0180:

That's cool. I have all the tools needed but i'm not sure about this weekend. I think i'll be going to Tustin next weekend if you still need help by then.
