We used the BRZ spec in my daughters FRS, she claims the car is neutral and no longer "tail happy".

i like tail happy . Might be some negative effects in autox/track, but it's all part of the fun.

I have the BRZ swifts in my car and I don't think they cause understeer at all. It comes down more to how you drive through the corner then anything. I find the car very neutral but can I can induce either under or steer when needed. Go in to hot and heavy and it will understeer. Sudden lifts will cause over steer. I am still on factory tires and have put small spacers on the rear top hats to raise it a bit and dial out some of the camber, really helped the rear of the car come around and not stick so hard.

Over all very happy with the springs, its the first fiance approved suspension Ive had in any car.

Sorry to resurrect this thread. I'm currently looking at Swift lowering springs as well because I have read good reviews. I want my car lower by just about an inch and at the same time handle like OEM or better. I have read that these springs aren't just for show and improve not only handling but soaks up bumps better resulting in a great daily driver set-up. My question is, I have a Toyota Ft86 Philippine version. Should I go with an Fr-s spring or a BRZ one? Also, I know the 2 different spring rates up front induce either oversteer or understeer. But when it comes to comfort, will there be a difference if I choose one over the other?

I am running the swift BRZ specs. I would recommend the FR-S spec springs if you plan on using the factory dampers as they will give more adequate damping for the slightly lower front rates on the FR-S springs.

I'm going to go with frs springs. I like being able to kick out the rear end for fun every now and then and dont plan to autoX.

I got under steer after installing BRZ spec swift springs. Added negative camber out front to bring it back closer to neutral, but the front feels under damper by the stock struts.

How are you guys liking the koni/swift combo? Rides better than the factory dampers with the springs (less oscillation after bump), I'd imagine.

Unrelated to handling dynamics, but the FRS rates seem to promote front/rear oscillation on bumpier roads due to softer fronts. Something to think about for DD.

That's the basic reaction we have been getting from our customers as well!

As simple as it may sound, I still try to recommend FR-S Swifts for FR-S' and BRZ Swifts for BRZ's

Also I talked to Swift about the bump stops since we work closely with them for our race programs and other ventures. They said that the springs are made in conjunction with the stock shocks and stock bumpstops in mind so trimming them is not 100% neccessary. HOWEVER, if you want and need more travel within the shock you can cut the bumpstops to whatever applications you are using the car for, but in modern day suspensions a bumpstop isn't just a regular peice of poly or rubber anymore, it's an elastic part that actually has a rate in it.

Surprisingly these have been flying off our shelves still!

Thanks,
Michael
