While I have a very high credit score I do not have much credit history. I got my car for a little below invoice but am paying 2.9%. Now that I am a few months in I may refinance and see if I can get a lower rate however the price I paid to get the car when I did made sense. If I would have waited another day the car would have gone up 4k so taking the burn on 2.9 and refi was the best for me.

I know they said to focus on the total cost and not the payments but that does not always make sense if you are going to refi.

Just to give you an idea, my BMW 328i was at 1.89% and not through some special financing offer. That was when I just got out of college 3 years ago, and had like 680 or so.

My recent '13 accord was at 1.9% too, with 714. My gf got her XV crosstek last year for 3.1 % with mid 600s and me co-signing.

So yeah, 2.8% for 815 is not "horrible deal" but sure as hell you can have a line of banks ready to do it for less.

Unless of course you have something along the lines of 3 car loans and mortgage already, that's the only possibility I see going at that rate.
No debt except for this car loan and less than 5k on student loans.
