So what's happening with this taillight? 86_ZN6 was saying it's limited to two digit numbers and order number is over 1000... are they still taking pre-orders?

Preorders started in the 960s

Ok, two questions:

1) Are preorders still open?

2) Are these tailights compatible with RHD versions?

So I did my research and came across a contact for Tom's.. I'm assuming Tom's international.. I didn't ask but this is not a distributor or anything.. This is a contact for Tom's..

Sales Manager
Jerry- 909-9239188

He told me to post his contact and to direct any questions to him..

In short, DEPO are the only authorized manufactor of authentic Tom's tail lights

I'm getting confused here. So are these tail lights genuine Tom's tail lights for the USDM market? And what is DEPO

At this point we have no idea, for certain, whether these are "genuine" or not. While in larger companies it's not uncommon for one hand to not know what the other is doing which would explain how you could get differing stories from different sources, at a small company like Tom's I would certainly expect their sales guy to know whether they were looking at outsourcing to a different manufacturer for their "Limited Edition" lights.

DEPO and Helix are two primary manufacturers of very high quality aftermarket lighting assemblies. Given their quality, I wouldn't be surprised if they're also an OEM supplier as well, as I've been very impressed with products from the both over the years. I, personally, would not care which manufacturers these lights came from as long as they were the authentic items that I was told I was purchasing.

The OP's complete inability to provide so much as a photo of the product, let alone pricing of the product, or being able to confirm the "authenticity" of the product is for a product he's accepting significant down payments for, frankly, both worrisome and unprofessional. This is only made significantly worse by a "No Preorder Cancellation" policy. Though, in my opinion, that's a horrible stance to take, as that only encourages chargebacks, which can ruin a small business.

I've given the OP money for these on the position that these were "authentic" and "special edition", available in "double-digit" quantities, and available "only" from him. If ANY of that were to change, I can only hope that the OP returns the monies paid, as the product is no longer what the buyers were purchasing. I would encourage all those with orders to maintain them, pending any verification by the OP as to those factors of this order -- refunds and chargebacks are no way to respond presently. Likewise, I would encourage the OP to verify as much of the information as possible, clear up these allegations, and if that's not possible, to refund the money before there can be any negative repercussions to his business as a result, and only re-open the item for pre-orders when the appropriate amount of information can be provided.

Apparently these are modified TOM'S replicas, which is okay with me because they look better than the actual TOM'S anyways (which I thought impossible). I'm sure quality will be the same as well as performance, but style will be different. Won't know until they're hooked up and lit, though.

good points here sir. thanks you!

i have updated the pre-order policy

Cancellation and refunds will be given to people who are not satisfied of the final product.

All preorder funds was sent to manufacturer to put a hold on the limited number of units available

At this point, info is still limited and but i will try to update the best way i can.

I am the only HELIX distributor for the FRS/BRZ/86 Platform and i have full confidence with them regarding this lights.

Their JDM style side markers has been a hit here in the forums and i believe these will be as well

If this is really the case I hope they come in below the $450 that the other seller is listing their DEPO USDM TOM's for. Realistically if these come in at more than $400 I'll probably want a refund any chance we can get a final price now so I know if this is worth my investment.
