Got bored, pieced this together form prototype parts and threw it on my personal car over the weekend. 75mm pulley, just like the production systems. The intercooler and plumbing are VERY prototype, as the picture clearly illustrates. It's not pretty, but it works. :p

Nice catch. Had to actually walk out and check that to see if I fixed it after the picture, sure enough, I did not.

Okay, I am confused…

What are we looking at here…? I do not see an intercooler, and I am wondering what the black cylinders with the red knobs are, remote reservoirs for your front coil overs maybe…?

I dunno, more info please…!?! TY…!

The intercooler sits in the intake manifold right below the supercharger. You cannot see it with things assembled. What you can see is water lines and a water reservoir sitting next to the supercharger.

That's because the intercooler sits between the blower and manifold underneath. You can see the coolant res. to the right of the supercharger.

Edit: sw20kosh beat me to it

okay, so i'm trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong that could cause the supercharger to eat a belt, then cause this:

that's the belt cover for the alternator. I don't know if it's because the belt isn't tight enough or what, but i'm going to check the tension when the motor has cooled off.

It's hard to tell 2nd hand and from a picture on the internet, but it looks like the belt wore through that from underneath. That makes me think there was too much slack.

I wonder if the idler after the alternator is binding up and causing the belt to "bunch up" around the alternator pulley.

Does your AC compressor clutch make an excessive noise when disengaged? Often times this is a pretty clear indicator of a failing auto tensioner. I actually had mine go when my car was complete stock with less than 10K on it. Also, ensure that your belt is in proper alignment, with no side loading at any point through the pulleys.

my friend is thinking that it might be possible that this blower needs a lower redline, I don't know what could be causing it to jump up and eat the plastic. uploading another pic

don't think they'd cover it under warranty though. how much would that cost to fix?

Did you file the alternator? I am thinking your blower might not be sitting squarely on the engine. If it is cocked just a little bit it will cause the belt to come off or be stressed unnecessarily.

we did file the alternator, it wouldn't sit right otherwise. and i'm curious as to why this would only happen now, when I've had the blower on there for almost a month. yesterday it ate the belt, and now this with the new belt. I've left a message with the parts dept at my local Toyota dealership to find out the cost of a new tensioner and alternator belt cover.

edit: just went out and checked, there IS some play in the belt.
