I'm pretty sure it's $10k for a set (front and rear). For Brembo's it's about $5k each pair, or $10k for a set. However, Japanparts.com has the TRD BBK for about... $7k+? Cheaper.

I'll double-check if it just meant front, but I'm pretty sure that normally it is $10k for front and rears.

STI is $5K for the 6 pots up front. The TRD BBK is just fronts as well...

I don't disagree that it is what it is. But the car is getting too expensive without adding anymore power and reaching too many other competitors.
Erroneous data is erroneous. They can tell if the ECU has been touched once it's been tuned. It's like breaking the seal off a package or unwrapping something wrapped in tight plastic. There's just no going back once you go forward.

Ask me how I know (former modded-2011 WRX owner).

Negative ghost rider.

The STi (Impreza) kit is approx 5 for the fronts 4 for the rears.

The TRD kit started around the same MSRP but has slowly been discounted to be more a couple grand affordable. But it includes 6 fronts/4 rears pads, rotors, lines, etc.

I don't understand some of the N/A faithfuls bashing the idea of a turbo STi down the road. You own a BRZ and love it, right? Then congrats, you own a car that suits you and only had to pay ~ $28k. Personally, I'm also of the belief that the current model's output is nearly spot-on as is (light exhaust upgrades and tuning = no more torque dip = more than adequate for my tastes).

But honestly, the more upgrades that STi rolls out, the better. These are just more OEM solutions to customize our cars to meet our individual needs (people from all over the continent with different driving routines are trying to agree on the 'perfect' setup... Lol).

The tS bits are great if you're not looking for more power. But I still hope a turbo'd STi edition comes out eventually for one selfish reason: If I ever decided to go F/I, I'd love to bolt up some factory-fit, OEM components vs. buying a tuner kit for my '13.

Can't we all just get along? ;-)

You also add the body kit, wheels, bbk, recaros, and most likely a slew of chassis stiffening components not listed and I'd say this car is a step above the stock BRZ.
First, my post states nothing about hp, turbo, or power.

Second, there's such a great highperformance aftermarket that is still growing.

Third, because of my second reason to purchase a BRZ with improved brakes, suspension, and some aero it just isn't worth it when there's better parts.

The issue is that people say these cars "NEED" a turbo when they don't. If their purpose to be built didn't include a turbo, then they don't NEED a turbo. People just WANT a turbo because they want to show off and a turbo compensates for their poor driving skills. Once that turbo spools up, most people are suddenly off the road, and that's with an AWD car. I would love to see insurance sky rocket with a turbocharged FT-86 let loose. Loose, I say!

I hear you, but I just welcome more modification options for our cars. I could care less what someone else thinks my car needs, or if a poor driver runs himself off the road.... Then I can take advantage of his "For Sale: STi part-out" thread haha
