Heh, the "Shingeki goes with everything" meme.
The Christopher Walken one is pretty epic. |

This is not a Japanese Anime but I highly recommend watching Tron: Uprising. Truly spectacular and phenomenal soundtrack. Makes Tron: Legacy look bad. Hopefully, they get a 2nd season.

Watching original anime series is definitely necessary to appreciate the series as a whole, then you can watch the movies that are part of the series reboot - Rebuild of Evangelion - they take the storyline in a whole new direction. Not to mention if you grew tired of the older style anime stylings in the anime, the reboot is drawn in a modern style.

You mean SAO? The anime does not compare to the book, the book is pretty damn good to read. If you're referring to Sword Art Online.

The main character is quite the cookie cutter hero -- kind of like the self deprivating hero that we usually would see. When Kirito enters Gun Gale Online it becomes a better story, lots of stuff that was left out of the anime -- eg struggles with "laughing coffin" those were the best. I'm almost done with book 6 so I can't wait to see what happens to kirito. |

If the anime was 100 episodes, I would be bored as fuck honestly. The story would be way too slow at that point. I think the anime did the 1st 4 books justice, since it wrote them in the right order -- there were some things out of place, but 99% of it was there, including the ALO stuff. The Fight against the salamander was great. Anyway -- Highly suggest the novels. You'll get hooked quick since you saw the anime first. |
