After a bit of research, and looking around STI's website, it appears to be an absolute certainty that this car has no performance upgrades.

From STI's English website: "The Legacy tS was one of several car models to have its name updated from the traditional ‘tuned by STI’ appellation to ‘tS’, now used on all models where STI has focused on improving vehicle handling."

Subaru offers tS versions of the Legacy, Forester, and WRX STI sedan, so the tS version of the BRZ is obviously all about handling and appearance upgrades.

To me, this car seems like it'll just be a collection of additional STi parts to import in. Especially in the US, we have never gotten any of the tS or special edition cars, so I don't see this car releasing here either.

if it's an actual STI model, then yes, it does need a power upgrade to appeal to North American buyers.

Apart from the rear wing, STI badged side vent, and possibly suspension, all the parts on that car are already available for import from STI.

Rear wing, fender, dampers, bbk are the big ones that will be new. I said additional . I have imported most of the stuff available already.

That STI brake kit look disappointing. the shocks might be better than stock, but we won't know for sure until they announce the spring rates... I'm not gunna lie I'm glad I got the limited (I like the interior and seats better). Wheels look sick. Not sure if I like the lip kit, I want the fender garnish set for sure! I can get STI badging from eBay for like 5 bucks lol. Would like to see STI engine bay bling... I feel the R magic wing is the best looking aftermarket wing (gives it an STI look)

Has it been confirmed that these struts are indeed what they're adding to the tS? Because it looks different from the Sports/S model in Australia.

Also, this is on the Blue Car (as evidenced by the Blue paint), not the White tS car.

The White car is the tS model, not the Blue car. If its the Blue Car, which is sitting right next to the white car, we know that it isn't a tS model because it doesn't have the STI Fender Garnish and doesn't have the fixed caliper brakes. It has the standard sliding caliper brakes.

Love the new big-screen HU in the Japanese photos - fills the whole double-DIN with only the thinnest of borders.

The photo of the shock absorber is from a test car used at the Nurburgring. It is not the blue car beside the white car in the picture.

Not confirmed. The blue car is last year's BRZ STI Concept. White car is the current BRZ tS Concept which seemingly has everything the blue car has but better or more.

I believe Australia's BRZ S STI has STI springs which has been readily available (I have a set sitting in my garage). Springs alone do not seem as suitable an upgrade as springs+dampers for a tS model, especially one that has a BBK. On the contrary, the ride height of the STI Concept suggests height adjustable dampers; the new tS Concept doesn't appear to be as aggressively dropped (looks like STI springs height).

When my BRZ was on STI springs:

I think $10k for the brakes is rather inflated. Those look straight out of the Subaru parts bin off a GRB Impreza STI. Even the infinitely better Spec C RA-R units didn't eclipse the $10k mark for the brakes.
