I recommend running 215 Generals on forged 17x10s. I read it on the internet and it corners mad tyte yo. That's what you need.

I definitely responded to the post before you put the poal up. It's funny that I didn't even know what it was about.

FWIW, my vote as some guy on the internet that autocrosses is to go with the Rivals on 9"s.

The Rival pays contingency. It is my understanding (I haven't run mine yet) that they are easier to drive than the Starspecs. I am not a fan of RS3s because you have to get heat in them, and IMO they lack longitudinal grip. The Starspecs are "peaky" from what I read and are not as forgiving.

With the concrete being gripper, the 9" will give you more contact patch and hopefully reduce squirm over the 8".

Just my opinion.

Andrew Palotta would Argue with this ALOT.. he loves his RS3's to a point that even tho his car won with Josh at the wheel on BFG's, Andrew bought a brand new set of RS3's just for Nats.. and when he couldn't get them at Tire Rack... he found some from a private seller in San Diego ...and was Giddy about it..

I learned a lot while at Toledo.

My take away is... tires themselves wont win or lose trophies. what will lose trophies is waivering. Cars set up for one wont work the same with the other.

Plan-
Step 1) Understand your driving style
Step 2) Steal underpants
Step 3) Pick your tire based on the type of feedback you like and what tires fit that style
Step 4)
Step 5) adjust your car to work with those tires and your style
Step 6) Take home trophy. Aka - Profit

Edit:
Step 7) In event of rain... have a mechanical issue and steal a WRX.
