Tracking your fuel like you drive a Prius and only listing cosmetic mods of light, tint, and hold back, a debadge really sounds like the way the twins were meant to be represented, right? Your first mod should have been to remove the Prius tires and put on some real summer performance tires. Maybe some Robispec KW v3's next would be a good start...

I also do recognize it's a 5 year platform. I also recognize performance numbers. The Supra is 2 decades old and it's still brought up in conversations. Age is irrelevant in this case.

Perhaps, but with the touring Z's it does get a bit greater. Neither of these are Cayman or anything as we all know.
soooo your paycheck is larger than mine. good for you there guy. I enjoy my car being stock performance wise. I wanted a new reliable car... again, everyone has their reasons for buying a car.

THIS^! I want just about everything in between. It can weigh a bit more, be a bit more luxurious (aka Premium Trim, etc.), have 18"s stock, 250+hp, for $31k. I think it would sell very well to say the least!
I'd be on board for that too. Right now nothing out there is in the sweet spot for me. At one end you have the torque-holed twins that you have to rev the hell out of to pass a big rig on a 2 lane, and even then you are holding your breath. At the other end (and I am seriously considering it) you have the new C7 - stunning performance by all measures, handles well by all accounts, but might be a bit too much car in a few ways: size/COO/capacity to be enjoyed without shredding your license. Something right n the middle would be perfect.

I'm not including the Z here for the reasons others have mentioned already. New spy shots of the 2015 Mustang indicate it could be substantially smaller and lighter than the old one so it's a possibility as well.

That all sounds great. However can you cite any source for that info? There's been rumors of a 240SX revival for years (especially now given the Twins' success). But nothing official has been said by Nissan, nor have any reputable publications reported anything.
Nah nothing official like a memo from the company but they have mentioned 2 new cars should figure in the lineup a micra and 240!
The pathfinder will also eventualy take the murano`s luxury spot and the murano will be more sporty, but the main reason im bringing it up is that the Z in canada isnt 30k its 40k almost twice the price for a twin !

well just between me and you, Nissan cars today are ugly as shit and boring as fuck to drive ! we sold a SER spec V witch retails at 27 and my boss ended up selling it in liquidation for 18-17 k and I still wouldn't have bought it!
The Z is nice but over priced and the frontier pro 4x is nice but 32 plus tax for a tiny pickup ... nah ill keep my F ranger I bought for 12 ! lol my father bought a call of duty special edition jeep wrangler for the price of an xterra.

And as for the Z its a really nice car but if you want the top to come off and all the nice gizmo your car is now priced comparable to a porche... or not to far !

P.S: in the 6 mount I worked there we sold 0 altima coupe its almost 4k more then the regular altima!

I am/was a big Z car fan. I had a 280ZX (that I restored) for many years and loved it. Also had a 300Z which was great until my cousin wrecked it . I ended up purchasing a WRX over the 350 when it came out, and again the FRS over a 370. Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice car. But it doesn't have the same great feeling the older models had. Maybe the next gen will be a perfect balance of power and feel?

I had a 350z, and as much as I know the 370z is better, the lack of 2 rear seats makes that car a lot worst as a daily driver/single car, their hatch are almost useless also.

^^^What he said...

I've always admired the look of this last generation of Z, but never test drove it because of lack of back seat. I was looking to replace my DD, and simply had to have an option to be able to transport at least 2 kid passengers to pass muster with my wife.

It sounds like from the posts in this thread that I wouldn't have gone for it anyway based on driving dynamics.

I digress, but you honestly proved one of my points with only two words.

This is also one of the reasons I would dread leaving me Acura dealership to go to a Scion one...

Dude, you drive a rebadged Honda. There's a lot of immature bros driving those around too.

^yes he does. But guess what? Acura dealerships are really nice and are 100% separate from Honda dealerships. You can't seriously be trying to compare the atmosphere of a Scion dealership to an Acura one.

I mostly agree with this statement, and DarkSunrise's. But seriously I've got to ask: what is the obsession with large wheels? The only legitimate reason to put large wheels on a sports car is so they fit over large brakes. This isn't an issue for smaller and lighter sports cars (ie the Twins, 370Z or Cayman). Yeah they might look "better" to some people, but all you're doing is adding unsprung weight which hurts the car's handling and acceleration, nevermind the increased cost of the tires wrapping those wheels.

The McLaren F1 came on 17" wheels. Yeah...that's good enough for me too.

LOL this is too true. We feel like kings at our Lexus dealership vs I fear for my trucks safety at the Toyota dealership. There are plenty of rebadged Toyotas driving around with Lexus on them.

When did I ever say anything about dealership experience?

Did I misunderstand your previous comment? I thought you were contradicting his post about leaving the Acura dealership for Scion's
