My 13" MBP has been fucking up hard lately. Should I just reformat it? It's 4 years old and I've never wiped it and started over. I kinda want a new computer but for what I use it for that'd be a huge waste of $$$$$$.

Also the disk drive is dead, any advice on that? MAC GEEKS I NEED YOU!

LOL another question for the Mac Geeks... Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad?

I plan to do lots of photo editing and video editing with it (shopping for iMac now and it has the option of choosing one or the other). My thinking at the moment is get the trackpad, and I can always plug in one of my spare usb mice if needed.

Yeah. I guess I kinda figured that... Spending money on an old computer pains me.

I live on a trackpad for the gestures. They make a HUGE difference in OS management.

Load times are slow, apps crash, ect. I'm thinking if I just reformat the HD (and add some RAM for shits) I'll feel like a whole new computer!!! Still needs a new superdrive though.

So I've always had praises for Livermore Subaru, always had no trouble with them when they serviced the wife's outback. Took my BRZ in for the first time (I usually like to do the services myself, but this was the 15k service), decided to wait for it, pleased to get it back after only 1.5 hrs of waiting (walked to LPI to get my race pads too) and got a car wash, which I needed anyway.

Got back to work and smelled terrible burning oil smell, checked under the hood and there were drops of oil splashed everywhere plus little wisps of smoke coming from the header. Was a little worried and looked around thinking there was a leak of some sort but found nothing. Only thing I found were little pools of oil all over the engine block, guessing somebody spilled motor oil all over during my oil change, WTF! Tried to wipe as much of it down, some spots were too tight for me to reach with my fingers/rag, so I guess those little pools will just have to burn off or be "extra" lubricant. This is why I don't like taking my car to the dealer for service...
