Anyone care to hazard a guess at the improved 0-60 time?

The launch is much easier with all the extra torque so im guess fairly good gain.

Maybe i will pull the charger off tonight and give it a whirl stock.

Why pull the charger? I thought it had an on/off switch in the cockpit.

Why introduce potential variables? Stock versus blow would be a great test with an accurate accelerometer. Maybe like a Tesla gps based one.

Ya its a 30 second job to take it off. That way there is no way it could possibly cause a restriction.

If i get time ill do it tonight.

Do you have any ecutek logs you'd be willing to share screens of? I'm curious how much timing you're able to run.

Got an 1/8th or 1/4 mile track around?

Sorry no I don't. We are using brz edit. I know that when I had the stock and Visconti tunes it was able to run full advance with no knock even with the charger. The track we had in the city shut down last year

Lots of fun stuff to come in the near future with the phantom system!

2 people running it so far and i think there are a couple other testers getting their kits this week.

Yeah I love the roadkill guys, they're a lot of fun. However, you can't push the air from 5 blowers through one pipe that's like 10 feet long and not expect to get a LOT of flow loss. I much prefer your guys' solution of one blower through a 1 foot long tube

There's more to it then that. The leaf blowers are not designed to create pressure, they move air, but are designed to internally recirculate the air if discharge pressure builds up much at all. The compressor Phantom is using is just that, a centrifugal compressor that is designed to move air and operate at much higher output pressures before it internally recirculates.

If you want to look up more info, I'd suggest starting with positive displacement vs. non-positive displacement, and centrifugal compressor.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Leaf blowers just arent designed for that application. the Phantom ESC is.
