Yep, as with the miata.net forum, this place can be very informative. Lots of good info within the "stickies". I've found this gang a bit "younger" than miata.net .... so, don't be thin skinned ....

I recognized your handle from miata.net.
I think it'll be pretty hard to find a forum that is quite as nice as good ol' miata.net. But here's hoping this one grows to be even better!

Hi all,

New member from Brisbane Australia. I have been following the forum for around 12 months now, thought it was time to join up. From my experience so far the forum has a lot of good help and information while being flame free.

Took delivery of a Pegasus White GTS86 in March this year. Love the car, a lot of fun, especially in the wet.

Main modifications so far include HKS Spec-L cat back, CAI, BC Racing coil overs, Rota Torque R 18's, black gloss vinyl wrapping on the roof/front bar and Valenti tail/reverse lights.

I'm currently researching my best options for forced induction, looking to go turbo before the end of the year. Finding it hard to narrow down the choices!

Anyway look forward to getting involved with the community.

Been stalking the forum for a while now, but I finally picked up my Whiteout FR-S yesterday.... so excited

Used to have a 350Z and was considering replacing it with a used TSX, but I'm glad I gave the 86 a chance!

It was a really loud squeaking noise accompanied with some knocking and the smell of burning oil. My dealerships says they have never seen anything like this in the FR-S.

^......oh my, (sigh), that doesn't sound good ...

Back in the old days, I would suspect something (like the generator or water pump) was freezing up and the belt was slipping.

Let's hope for the best.

What's going on everyone? Name's Justin, just got stationed here at Seymour Johnson NC. I just picked up my whiteout frs from the dealer yesterday, and I love it! I have a supra as well (89 turbo 5spd), she's my go fast car. I got a 1j swap lined up for the A70 so I figured I'd get a gas saver to help build my credit back up. Everyone here seems helpful, I look forward to any meets that happen to come up on the east coast!
