Took it out on a drive. Heads were rolling as the 86 pass by them Smooth looks like a new road just been paved when going towards San Jose. A lot of loose gravel when I was going up the observatory. Many bikers and little to no cars. I enjoyed the drive. As you know there's a lot of turns and smooth curves and s-shaped roads. Few blind spots and tight upins. Hell yeah I got honked at by a White 911. I saw a baby horse yay. Fine day.

@PMok It was too late to get there. I worked out took a shower saw the time I would be late and by then you guys be doing the drive. So I decided to do my own driving I remember someone mentioned about doing mines rd recently but I don't remember the thread. I was hoping I may see another 86 but I didn't. Just a lot of bicyclist and a lonesome 911. I was planning to do a drive somewhere near monterey I forgot the road name but I looked at the distance. An hour away. I was like damn so I went through the whole route of mt hamilton

check out list on this page: http://86drive.com/roads/ but for you if you're in SF, the closest ones will be Skyline 35, La Honda 84, and Panoramic Hwy/Hwy 1 up in Marin County. Many of us live in East Bay or South Bay and that's where many of the best roads are. Mines Rd is one of the most epic in the area and a personal fave.

I'd also like to know. I used to drive through Santa Susana Pass in SoCal and various other L.A. mountain roads in my prior cars. I haven't been on any since I moved to NorCal.

well that's what this thread is all about. seriously, when you have a minute just go back and read through some of the early posts in this thread. we all started this group here because we all wanted to go out and drive the local roads here and there are quite a few good ones to enjoy.
