Don't worry, I seem to recall reading that the concept looks nothing like the actual production car.

Have a look.

LOL I think R8 is unfinished NSX concept. Look that the monstrous looking CF inserted door.

Reminds all these cars: Audi R8, Lamborghini Gallardo, McLaren MP4-12C and Lotus Esprit. It is not bad, but very generic, like from a video game as Ridge Racer for example.

They could at least make it like the HSC Concept but it is really not easy to make it better than it was:

Probably the best interior of any sportscar.

The new NSX is like a Gallardo? I'll take the old NSX over a Gallardo.

OK, I think I'll stop before we completly start disliking the new NSX.

Well the shape is similar to other cars because of layout and ergonomics, how else do you make a car with passengers, visibility, and a huge engine sitting behind? There's not much you can change...good thing everyone thinks the cars you listed look good I'd be up for a steeper rear window and slightly less "sharp" edges than the original NSX, which is what the concept looks like it has. The front isn't particularly attractive though :/ Are headlights that low even legal? They don't look good so they better not be lol. And the Acura beak needs to go :/

348 was only a year old when the NSX came out. I was a kid when the NSX came out and read a Car and Driver magazine about it as a Honda in Japan. We were a Honda family at the time and I my mind was utterly blown. A HONDA that looked like a FERRARI and was FASTER!!!! ZOMGWTFBQQ!!! (or whatever the 1990 equivalent was at the time...)

Still my first Japanese supercar love. And never had the massive price drops that the Supra did. Le sigh...

Want to guess the specs? The similar shape due to Rear engine puts us closer to 0.32 like previous NSX, but it looks shorter and more aerodynamic than the original. I think I'd give a optimistic CD = 0.28

Should we assume a similar 290HP or a bigger engine?

Given that Honda has been getting 290 out of the J35 V6 for years, I'll be shocked if it doesn't make 400+ (unless they go with a smaller displacement). Given that the NSX is supposed to show off Honda's technical prowess, they'll use every trick in the book on that engine. Figure on a 9000+ rpm redline and a peak BMEP of at least 200 psi.

I hope so, they'll come with f***ing high revving V6 engine. Anyway there are the electric engines to support low rpms.
