When you read it has 600hp did you really think they would develop the R&D to build the motor AND build an adequate F/I system with such a short time between now and FD season starting....That's a tall order for any company to adequately R&D and test before FD. It's rather common sense. And really...since when would a motor swap constitute no aftermarket parts being R&D'ed from other companies when/after the release of this car? The block in the car has Cosworth built components. If anything I would have figured they would do the swap just to get Gushi in competition and continue to develop the FA setup in house in the meantime. Which is exactly what they are doing. I think the Ej swap is going to happen on this car anyway. It's better at being a true FR-S than the BRZ GT300 is at being a BRZ. That's not even close to being a BRZ. |

If they had that much time, they would be using the stock motor, or at least have motor parts developed for the stock motor already. It just makes logical sense to go with the Ej for starters. |

You can't transfer the rights but you can still turn the offer down. I'm pretty sure its illegal to make someone agree to buy something before a price is set.

I have been traveling most of the day and just got into my hotel...
26 pages and no freakin price!!!! I can't stand this crap. I was looking forward to reading all the scoop and reading all the back and forth on the price. This just sucks!

I like how on the 86 first site, the FAQ has a "When will the final Price be etc etc" and it says "Spring 2012" are people really gonna reserve blind? then again Im sure their's 86 people out there that is sure to just buy it off the bat.
At this point Im thinking look to Subaru to have the price told first, I don't know what's the hold up if they are doing research they already know what the public want for price do we have to make a site and make a petition? lol wait some more pretty much after what 2007, ridiculous. Im not expecting anything till next year at this point even if you get the price no guarantee you'll get one right away.

No price=FAIL
Just like I figured the FD car looks lame. Wide fronts and rear overs when the car is running anything but aggressive fitment to begin with. Obviously not gonna be a factory piece cause having rear overs requires cutting and other modifications to the stock quarter panels and I doubt very many people will go for it...besides, it looks like shit on this car. Im waiting for price before I decide whether or not to pull the trigger. Not gonna sell off the current ride and stuff just to find out that the car is way overpriced. Hopefully the BRZ wont pass 24k meaning the Scion will hopefully sit around 21-22.

Actually, yes. I've been commuting exclusively on a motorcycle for the past two and a half years and have been waiting patiently for a car to come along that was worth buying. So far Toyota has managed to pique my interest for what, over a year?, but if they continue to slowly drag out the key information needed for any normal person to make a buying (more like waiting) decision, I'll just have to take the money I've been saving elsewhere. If they are out there listening to what has been said here, they should see how important that information is to the car's biggest fans. Enough with the hype and marketing ploys, we obviously like the car, just tell us how much it is already! Quit baiting the hook if you're not willing to reel us in.

PRICE/PRICE/PRICE!!!!!!!
A crazy idea just think Toyota are stringing us along to release a price of
$20,000 US + orc to shock the sports car market into a coma. In Australia that shock price will be $29,990 Drive Away. Could this crazy idea come true, because it is going to be high or low $$$ at the end of the day or there was no point in playing with us!
