Meh. I would be more enthused if it was RWD with a supercharged V6 IMA hybrid. kinda like a supercar version of the mugen CR-Z: supercharged ICE with IMA hybrid. instead, they have a V6 with 3 electric motors, DCT, and SH-AWD. sounds heavy with artificial handling, the exact opposite of what made the NSX legendary.

Well depends on implementation, I guess. I think people don't find the McLaren MP4-12C brake steer to feel like the car is doing the driving for you, it still feels like the driver is in control (presumably). What Honda is trying to do is a slightly more clever way of doing that with electric motors for torque vectoring.

I wouldn't count them out just yet, electric motors can have CRAZY specific output if done right. Especially on a track where you do have a significant amount of braking, the motors could easily benefit acceleration a lot.

As far as FI goes, I secretly hope they can bring out turbo-compounding if they want to supercharge it. The previous NSX brought to the world variable valve timing, this one can introduce something revolutionary too. But probably not very practical.

well if they use tiny motors and use it to nudge the car, then i can see it being very seamless. on the other hand i can also see it being relatively large and intrusive with tq vectoring that gets out of hand. sure it'll pull 1.2g and be very impressive on paper and on the track, but its going to be so superhuman that it just feels wrong. look at the GT-R. very impressive but many feel that it lacks soul. too computer controlled, not controlled with your right foot. i fear that they have their priorities all messed up. i have lost ALL faith in honda. the fact that the car is SH-AWD already makes me very pessimistic about the outcome. its marketing over passion. numbers over emotion. the NSX was simple and high tech at the same time. thats what made it great. now you have this electronic monster of a car and call it a NSX? im sorry but that's just wrong...

What wasn't simple in 1991? It's not as if the original NSX was some paragon of back to basics supercars. It wasn't any less computerized than a Ferrari 355 or a Lamborghini Diablo or a Corvette ZR1, or in fact just about any other car of the time.

I respectfully disagree. There is no such thing as perfection.

Wouldn't it have been more advanced/computerized (if only by a solenoid) than all them because of the VTEC? Plus the aluminum chassis wasn't exactly back-to-basics either. (And it was the POS 348 at the time.)

Yeah but the 348 was pretty long in the tooth at that point, so I gave Ferrari a one year handicap

IMO the car looks like an unfinished R8.

Audi designers incorporated the sideblade for a reason, to shorten the look of the car. It makes for a more aesthetically pleasing design. (look up golden rectangle)

This concept just looks too stretched, regardless of how long it actually is.

Have a look.

^ It reminds me of the previous gen NSX. It sort of had a "long" look to it.

you're right, but it also had the side scoop and the more upright a and b pillars.

maybe its just me, but i don't think the overall design works.
