Make sure car is off. Do not need key
Hit the ODO switch. The middle one Scroll thru until "S off" is on screen Press and hold until "S on" appears Rev limiter is now off Make sure too set your rev alert to an Appropriate setting. Do this on your own head. I do take responsibility for anyone actions. This was shown to me by a Subaru service manager. I have tested this in first gear. This is one of those unpublished menu's that can be/are prevalent within the software world. Recommendation is to leave it on, especially if you have a lead foot. For corroboration just ask your friendly Subaru service manager Do not self destruct your motor. I have a 13 BRZ A/T. This may be different on a M/T Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Pretty sure this doesn't actually turn off the rev limiter, there's no way they would let you do that... raising (or disabling) the rev limiter will require reflashing the ECU software.

S-on/S-off is for the gauge sweep on startup.
G-on/G-off is for the gear indicator + fuel-saving gear shift light. Neither affect fuel cutoff. No manufacturer would make eliminating fuel cutoff in the ECU as simple as a menu option.

Then I stand corrected.
I will try it again and I will mention it to the service manager who showed it to me when I couldn't contact the sales person. If I am wrong then so be it. One of the best ways of finding out wether you are right or wrong is to post here. You will DEFINITLY be corrected. And I will not get bent out of shape like some do. I will research more and find out if I am indeed talking out of my A**. Thank you for the constructive feedback Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Okaaaay. I smell very good today. A definite stench of "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT"
That clears that matter up. It is the gauge sweep on/off. I will return to my "expert" service manager. When I did my so called test I did not rev high enough. The kick in the head from you guys got the old brain thinking again, and the excellent points mentioned. So continue to ignore this old mans experts as we seem to have a very long road ahead of us.
