Help!! Car stuck on 4 post lift
Any garage lift experts on the forum?
Ok guys well I bought a 4 post atlas pro 8000 lift around 7 months ago and about 3 weeks ago it started acting weird. I tried lifting it to get it off the locks so I could lower the FR-S and the lift motor sounded normal but nothing happened. I called the lift store support and they told me to check the release valve. Magically as always when you are trying to show a problem I came out and tried it again and it worked perfectly, the support guy said sometimes debris gets stuck and it needs a purge. I took the FR-S out and put the porsche on the lift and raised it to the desired height and let the lift rest on the locks taking off the pressure from the hydraulic system. Today i tried lifting the Porsche to get it off the locks so I could lower it and store the FR-S but the lift does not move at all, the motor sounds normal and everything. I tried purging the lift by holding the release valve and up button at the same time but no go, I also checked the release valve to see if it was stuck and its not then i topped it off with a bit more hydraulic fluid but nothing seems to work. Since the early AM i have been letting it rest and trying again but nada the lift wont move at all. :confused2 Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance. Here are some pics of the lift that i am talking about for reference Atlas Pro 8000 4 post lift:

I'd contact the support again, not a wise thing to play with a lift that has a car on it...

I second that. Call support. You spend a pretty penny on it and it's only 7 months old.

Very weird, at around noon today i tried again and it worked normally i put the porsche down and raised the FR-S no problem at all. I really think the lift is possessed by some kind of demon!!

I think the lift dislikes that you are mixing your Japanese Godsend vehicle with German and American cars.

Thinking about getting a 4 post lift. May I ask how tall is your ceiling? And whats the height from the roof of the frs to the floor of your garage?

I would still call even if you got it working, it's brand new and should not be acting this way.
