Sales guy blames the financing department for the extra $1000 because of fees the dealer usually add (anti theft stickers and tire warranty). Load of crap because I asked for the TOTAL out of the door price when we discussed the car.

Said the manager wasn't in but I saw him at the front counter (I had to tell him the manager is actually in). Finally, the manager fixed the price. Now the car is missing is the graduation rebate of $1000 that is supposed to be on the invoice too but they wont put it on till monday because the department that does that is closed.

Wanted me to sign the papers and finalize the deal. At this point in time, I lost all my trust with the place and wont sign a thing without absolutely everything on paper.

Said I have nothing to loose after I sign the papers and there was nothing they could do if I back out after I signed (ahh, I am pretty sure a signature is a legally binding contract). Then he went on about having to wait another day to pick up the car if I didn't sign today. I have already waited 3 months, 1 extra day wont make a difference.

To make me even more pissed off, he was so nice to my parents at first. Then he didn't even acknowledge them after because they were telling me not to sign. To make an extra ~$1000, I have lost my trust in this dealership. Hopefully all goes well on monday or it will have to be a 2014 BRZ next year.

If the antitheft stickers for Scion are done the same way as other manufacturers, it is done during assembly cause these go in places your not suppose to easily access.

Update for Canadians, my dealer is telling me that Pioneer Upgraded Audio is dealer installed not port/manufacturer installed, so even though the car didn't arrive to dealer with it, they are going to be putting one in. They also haven't heard of this no more stock thing. I am a bit skeptical at this point, considering the website says manufacturer install. I will believe it when I see it, have to wait to see as car was sent out to tint & clear bra shop. All I have to say is all hell with rain down if I go to pick it up and they put an aftermarket one in trying to pull a fast one on me.

^ thanks. the stupid stickers are added by the detailing department. They are a complete waste of money because I used to work at the same stealership and have seen how they work. They just put stickers on each door with unique code on it. The idea is that if cops raid a yard with stolen parts, they can identify which car it came from. Not sure whats stopping thieves from peeling them off.

^its a port install. my sales guy was pressuring me to get the stupid $500 unit that has no built in features and said i had to get it while it was at port.

installed beatsonic rear camera and clear side markers today. Only armrest and rear diffuser and my 10 series will be cosmetically complete for the time being.

I'm installing my oem rear diffuser today and I'm still waiting for a call from the dealer that my 5Axis kit is painted and ready to be installed.

Picking up my 10series FRS Monday, but I'm not getting the upgraded audio Your so lucky my dealer doesn't care and basically telling me I ordered it without the upgraded audio. Is anyone else having a tough time with their dealer with this issue?

The Canadian 10 series unfortunately does not come with upgraded 5.7" touch audio or the 2014 6.1" as standard, unless you specifically added it as option. But even those who did add it aren't getting it, I will only believe my dealer when I see it done.

Ordered the Beat-Sonic sharkfin antenna after looking closer at my neighbor's LFA shown below and realizing that it's essentially identical. It's my little bit of LFA influence.

I don't mean to sound trite, but after we switched cars for a "spirited" drive up Larch Mtn. this morning, we both agreed that there's more than a passing resemblance between the two marques. IMO the FR-S being so much smaller andl lighter is ultimately the livelier car. I didn't tell him, but believe the difference between the FR-S M/T and his LFA prolly isn't worth $425,000. In fact, it made me appreciate our FR-S more than ever, disregarding the music of a V-10 accelerating to redline that I only sampled once but will remember forever.

So has anyone been able to get Toyota financial to match a lower rate from a bank or drop below 3-3.25% APR/ .00190/.00210 for Tier 1/1+ on an FRS 10?

u got to drive the LFA?!? im jealous
having lots of HP doesent mean anything if ur just driving around on the streets
my last car was faster but i always found myself speeding just to have fun with it, lucky for me i didnt get in trouble

I speed in my FR-S... I still drive at the same 85mph I drove my 530... and the M3...

as far as luxury goes... the only things that are missing compared to my BMW are leather seats, powered seats, auto-dim mirror, and homelink... and those are rather minor things...

why not just go with the lower rate banks?
