Getting my gun now...lol. It's funny, my Z had everything (aside from push-start) that is mentioned here, and I would have preferred to have the Base model, if I were to buy another one.

I had the Touring Ed. 350z.

I think it all comes down to your needs for the car. For me, I just want it as a nice fun daily driver and am fine with the extra luxuries. I have a DE car and a race car, I don't need the FT86 variant (whichever I get) to be barebones. If I were building it as a DE car, or TT car, or race car I'd want it as base and cheap as possible.

You can get decent aftermarket conversion kits for less than $100 including the bulbs and ballast.

i dont want a conversion.. i like stock headlights, plus i love how stong they are, if i can get them at a later date ill be happy with that too and just sell the stock halogens

You got ripped off. Its just a HID bulb. You can get good ones for like $40 a pair. HID bulbs are cheap to replace and they will last at least 3 to 4 years...maybe longer. On my 8 year old 350Z I have replaced them once. Cost me $45. It is kind of a biotch to replace the bulbs on a 350z though but it is doable.

The car under the cover, could possibly be a stripped down 'track' model.

I'm assuming he meant the entire housing, not just the bulb.

I agree~

I already get blinded from people who can't level their HIDs correctly and Bro-trucks lighing up my entire car with their lights... I need less of that. lol
I actually quite like the new Fusion - it certainly looks much better than both of the traditionally best sellers in the segment (Accord/Camry) and i like the aggressive styling better than the swoopy design of the Sonata. The front end looks less Aston Martin to me and more gaping-frowning-fish-mouth.

Those PNP conversions SUCK. We used one of the new digital ballast ones for the race car. I think they ended up in the trash can.

ha. i'm not a MINI owner, just something i know from MINI owners. I should clarify: i'm talking about Xenon units, not HID bulbs. big difference.

I'm looking for a Daily as well. Maybe it was just the Z's heated leather seats that would set your arse on fire that I had a problem with...lol. I don't like Leather by any means though.

if they annouce the price today, do you think the car will be released/sold
in March then? My gut keeps telling me June for some reason, but I don't think they'd annouce the price 5 months ahead, my guessing is their strategy would be...
1) annouce price today (assuming their plans are already set in stone with options)--> sell in April

or

2) show options today and get a feel for our reactions(see if we hate/love what they offer)-->annouce price in March--> sell in June

HID's huh? I thought the FR-S wasn't coming with HID's... or is this another option? Forgive my ignorance but I've never owned or built anything from scion.
