Agreed. I would never want to go back. I've owned HID and Halogen cars at the same time and the difference is obvious at night.

Hey now! I only would purchase the manual, no auto for me...and I don't care for social media during my personal time. I prefer to concentrate on the road and the physical environment around me, not what everyone else is up to!

So you went with lower lumen output HIDs? Proper retrofit or just rebased/PnP stuff? If that's the case I can definately understand how you don't notice a difference with HIDs.

So you wouldn't even drive the car?

The only thing that will make me not buy the car is if I don't like the driving experience.

LOUD ANGRY NOISES! If you're not waiting for the primary model this year, not sure this car show is going to make you very happy. It's the launch of a single car - I don't think they've cemented plans for any other models until they see how the public reacts to this one...

A proper factory installed HID kit > any aftermarket retro fit I have experienced using.

And you honestly didn't feel that they provided superior lighting to Halogens?

I've never been in a Z at night, but the S2000 vs my projector Halogen's in the Integras was incredibly obvious and why I run HIDs in my ITR now (just PNP though until I find a nice *clean* set of OEM 94-97 headlights locally).

Vehicles equipped with HID headlamps from the factory have a headlamp lens cleaning systems and automatic beam levelling control. This reduces glare which can hurt other driver's ability to see. This is why aftermarket HID kits are not the same as factory xenon's.
