I really can't wait to see the new Zo6, I bet it's gonna have crazy numbers.

It's funny when you think the Shelby GT500 has 662HP and the Vette "only" has 450...I bet they left some room there on purpose

If you're up in GT-R price territory, the last gen ZR1 corvette was faster in pretty much every way...

Also cost 20k more than a GTR.

I hate the look of the new Corvette.

What I see when I look at the front:

What I see from the rear:

The mascara laden block tail lights and the metal-retainer grille both disgust me. I'm no doubt impressed with its capabilities, and the new interior, but good lord I can't stand the sight of it. Just my opinion.

I feel the same way. When they unveiled it, I really liked it. The more I see of it now, the less sure I like it. Really want to see one in person, have always been a fan of Vette's even though I would probably never buy one.

It has similar torque characteristics to the old motors, max torque at 4.5 ish k, bump that to 5k with a little more duration on the intake cam and it should pick up a little high end. No reason it can't have 500hp with 6.2 liters to play with.

That didn't stop me from buying one, but I admit I was a bit let down (and still dream y wheels, brakes, and carbon fiber hood and you're there ways to get it there).
No ned to dream just remove the spare and tools, back seat, change the battery, and exhaust, wheels, tires, brakes, and add a carbon fiber hood and you're there.

I like the look if it, it actually looks more like a Supercar than it ever has.

But does anybody know if that's the production model? I thought it was still just in the prototype phase, so it will not look exactly like that.

Looks much better in person.. At the LeMans race in Laguna Seca I had the chance to see it and liked it.. But hated it in the pictures.. Well at least the rear.. It's not my favorite design, but looked better.. And I bet they could've saved at least that 100lbs it gained, if people stopped bitching about the interior, that stuff adds up.. But everyone wanted more and better, so there adds weight..

I also must be looking at the wrong places, this was discussed on a Facebook page about the ZR1 and new GTR.. And I haven't seen a place that posted better numbers for the ZR1 yet.. The GTR beat it in ever test except the braking I believe in one magazine.. Only place I've seen the ZR1 beat a GTR is on YouTube.. But I take those comparisons and runs as seriously as I take the tv show "pinks" as being real

It definitely has more presence in real life than the pictures and videos seem to let off...

I for one, am very impressed. I just need to win the lottery now....
