Wha?

[QUOTE=funcheung;1084791]@BBSU picked up his wheels and slapped them on my car since his car hasnt arrived yet. There is about 1cm clearance
RPF1 18x9.5 +38 Gunmetal, Potenza Re760 245/35/18

Looks more like 1mm clearance. Lolz

I wonder if the 17x9.5 +38s would clear as well?

We got same thing with AP Sprint Kit on our car. Fitment is tight but they work just fine.

Do anyone know of the clearance for this setup?
Would it be rubbing on the fenders and springs/shocks?
I'm currently still @ stock springs/shocks
I do some aggressive driving on mt pass roads early morning's inthe weekends and also wonder how this setup would affect its handling.
Thanks
Would it be rubbing on the fenders and springs/shocks? Yes, especially up front.

Also, this will cause understeer. Is that what you want? You would need to change suspension geometry a little/get sway/strut bars to correct this.

Clearance-wise, yeah, it will be tight... 9.5's in the front is not a good idea without camber correction.

Also, it will look silly at stock height. Big wheels + skinny sidewalls do not a racecar make.

I have the RPF1's at 18x8 +44 and they fit very nicely without being too expensive (225/40/18) and they maintain a similar driving feel as original (expect the rubber is stickier, therefore better for mountain roads).

Otherwise, be safe out there!

Um, I'm currently running this setup except with a little less sidewall. Enkei RPF1's 18x9.5 on stock suspension with 245/35's. It is doable, but the clearance up front is very close.

I have coilovers ready to be installed because of this, but don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. You might actually rub with 245/40's though due to the tread hitting the front spring.

Thanks for the replys
I figure it'll be real close to rubbing with minimum clearance especially in the front only if I go 235/35 or 40.
I agree it'll look really silly on stock height but I still haven't made up my mind if I should get springs or coilovers yet
The price my friend is offering is way too attractive for me to pass up but it'll sacrifice too much of it handling to justify it

I did look through some tread about this setup and it looks great with coils for a 2"+drop but I'd figure it takes some fun o u t of the 86 character and having to drive more civilized isn't my thing
