91oct fuel is best I can get at the pump. Didn't think a single octane point would give me a bad read. I'll give a fuel out map a shot. Should I notice the CEL disappear immediately? Or will it take some miles?

This might be a novice idea, but maybe reset your ECU, then apply the different map.

I've been meaning to reset the ECU anyway since I drove relatively casually for the first 1500 miles. First I'm gonna flip the map down to the 89oct neutral drop-ins when I drive it home today to see what happens. If nothing, I'll probably reflash the Unichip with the 92oct fuel-out neutral timing all drop-ins map, reset the ECU, and see how everything goes from there. If anyone else has different advice, let me know!

My Unichip and BRZ is continuing to keep a smile on my face even when I have a bad day at work. No issues. But I do have a lot of experience with it too.

I haven't noticed any negatives while driving... I love the thing -- definitely registers some major points on the butt dyno. I just want that pesky engine light to turn off

EDIT: have codes, running rich and TDC -- P0172 P117B... Any advice from anyone here?
With the flux unit u can clear all codes!

Question for Jack-- Is the AFR reading coming through the OBDII port accurate with a Unichip installed? I just installed a P3 gauge setup that reads through the port and was wondering if any of the readings (boost, afr, etc.) would be off because of the piggyback.

Update: took off the Unichip and drove the car to the dealership this morning just to make sure the issue is actually with the Unichip. If the dealership comes back with no issues, I'll start playing with maps again. If they fix something, I'll likely just run the same maps as they were performing beautifully even during the CEL. So far potential culprits are a mis-seated air box after the drop-in, a bad sensor, a bad map, or bad map choice for my high altitude. I'll keep this updated in case anyone else has a similar problem. Also, driving without the Unichip really helped me realize how much the Unichip helps -- it's very noticeable ha.

TLR; Making my decision based on the dealer's assessment with the stock ECU non-piggybacked.

mtimney... thanks for the post.

The MAF and ignition advance values will not be accurate. Otherwise, everything should be as the data stream shows.

Cheers

For sake of update -- dealership came back with a warranty repair for faulty DI seals. Completely unrelated to Unichip.

Thanks! Excited to put the 'chip back in after I get her back.

@Unichip Jack , Please read the rest of the old posts and answer our questions. There are more than just the last posted question we would like answers to.

Mine are

When will the FA20Club CAI files be uploaded?

How can I stop the flux display from asking me to accept that I wont be an ID ten T and stare at the Flux?

Now that the AZ sun has heated up the window mount, how do I tighten up the hinge at the suction cup to arm joint?

Would it be possible to buy the female and male connectors from you (the ones the wire harnesses connect to the Flux Display)? I want to use a coiled (Old School telephone type) multi-wire to go from the dash to the Flux Display as I do not like the way the wires flex while opening and closing the door.

Thanks.....

I also had an old, unanswered question: Are there any Unichip tuners in New England who I could visit for a couple of custom maps? Thanks!
