1 should be fine. I have 8" subwoofer and it's more than I need.

I went with Kickers. I'm happy!!
Any reputable brand should be fine (JL, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc) Also I went with pre-amplified subwoofer because I didn't want to shop for two separate amp and sub that have to match up (ohms, rms, output). It's cleaner setup too.

I have a 10 inch kicker. 1200 watt amp. It's plenty. Trust me. 2 might take up too much trunk space. I fold down my seat sometimes so if you had two it would get in the way a lot and you'd have to move it around.

Depends what music you play. I listen to electronic/90's/classical so my setup is for that, but the girl I dated liked pop.

I have 1 Rockford Fosgate 10" and a small JL X600 amp, and it's more than enough. I sound deadened my car, so the setup was pretty sweet.

Rockford fosgate or JL i wouldnt get any others. I would also go for two 8 inch subs to fit into the corners. 10 will be nice but would be too much, i used to have 2 12 inch subs in my old car, was fun but not for all round listening.

Anyone know where in the States I could get a 10" box like @aymen23q linked? I've looked around but cant find one.

Thanks

Finishing my install today, 2 10" p2s running off a Planet Audio 2250D. I have absolutely no trunk space (don't use it anyways) and I know it will be too much but I couldnt resist. I've had the amp lying around for years and the subs I borrowed off a friend lol here's a pic

In your case I'd go with one then you can always add another if you want more bass. This setup is temporary until I can get an Integrity Concepts box

When i first installed my sub, I had a box with 2-10" pioneers laying around, sealed box. It was WAY WAY WAY WAY too much bass. couldn't hear anything else even with my gains turned all the way down. 1-10" sub is more than adequate. I run a 1000w Pyle amp, an active Pyle low pass crossover and my 10" ported sub (no name speaker). I'm fabbing up my own fiberglass box in the near future to fit in the side of the trunk like the integrity concepts one, It will be sealed and I'll put one of my pioneers in it

1 JL W7...call it a day lol

Alpine Type R's are a pretty good economical option if you don't want to break the bank on JL.
