I moved primarily for my lady. We are getting married next year so I figured I'd make the move early and re-establish myself here since cost of living is so much better and your money goes alot further. Luckily for me I got a transfer in my job at the bank so it's like a raise for me. The opportunity growth in Houston is huge as well! I know it's not CA in terms of weather, things to do and places to go but I lived their all my life and it's time for a change. If you got a good job opportunity, go for it. You can always go back. But most people say that once you leave CA it's unlikely you'll go back to live. Hope that helps. Good luck with the move!

Hate them for the most part lol
Love the fastbacks up to 68 though. Bodies aren't the best handling, but damn they look good. Still don't think I'd ever buy one, just nice to look at Quote:
I love a drivers car and hit auto-x whenever I can. Straight line stuff is ok, but I like to go fast for longer than 11-12 seconds lol. Much more skill (to me) in going around a circuit.

About to pick up an old swapped impreza coupe that will fill the void and just use the brz as a beater. I've though about turbo'ing the brz but dont feel like spending 10+k on it right now to increase the power to a decent level, supporting mods and suspension to go with it.

I'm going to sound a little ridiculous here, but where do you go to get your car washed around here?
I just moved to Houston a few months ago. I picked up my BRZ last week, but drove through a cloud of bugs driving back from Beaumont with it. I am hesitant to take it to one of the drive through ones as i know it is not the best for the car. I would wash it myself, but my apartment building does not have a hose for me to use. I also want to wax it for some good protection. Any suggestions? |

I've been using Bubbles Express with no issues.
Once the vehicle gets a body kit though... Guess I'll have to make more time to hand wash it. |

Thanks! I will probably stop up there on my way home from work today.
I just wish I had a place to wash my own car. One of the downsides of apartment living I guess... |

I think I'll be waxing the car from time to time. Been procrastinating...
We're located in the Jersey Village area though. |

Try Shine Auto Spa on Almeda, not far south of Downtown. I lived in Midtown and took mine there a few times, they do a great job, and its a hand wash.

). Those came off pretty easy with some light scrubbing though, so its no big deal.I will check that place out though next time. I definitely prefer hand washes. Usually with my own hands, but I have yet to find a place to do so. |

Full blown Bubbles is nice. I haven't been to one of those since I was a little boy being driven around by my Dad though.
