Perrin shift knob question

Looking for impressions on the Perrin shift knobs and the difference between the two sizes. has anyone seen and touched both sizes and/or seen both colors?

ive seen both and honest i ended up with the fat one which has a better feel i think. the skinny one just looked a little too small. But that said i love the feel of both. I think the black looks a little better but because of the brushed material, it does show up finger prints very easy.
Also both of these get very hot in the summer if its been sitting out and freezing as all hell in the winter... something to think about considering you have to touch it but id imagine all metal knobs are going to be that way. Hope that helps lol

Am I the only one who feels shift knobs are a complete waste of money?

Eh makes sense to customize something you are in contact with every time you drive the car. That's like wearing the same pair of shoes everyday but not really caring what they feel like or look like.

It looked to me as if they were alcantera, so they are brushed metal?

Do you see and problems with finger prints/dirt/ and or sun fading on the silver one long term?

I touch my knob a lot and wanted the black one because I thought it would age better and show less dirt, but it seems that maybe the silver one will be better for me?

I bought the small knob, it feels good. It can get hot if you buy the black one. My mom told me that if I touch my knob too much, I can go blind.

Yeah it's brushed metal but so far no issues with fading or anything. The fingerprints are just annoying when youre detailing the car but they wipe right off. So far no signs of aging. Black seems to match things on my car since the silver is a different shade then the BRZ trim silver kinda looks strange but that's pretty minuscule. Either way I think they are one of the best shift knobs out there

Its weird that these are brushed metal, they so look like a soft composite material in the pics, they should definitely take new pics

I have the gray slim one and I love it. The color matches the brushed silver bezels in my BRZ. Only down side is that it does get dirty easily. Just gotta wipe it off once a week.

Yea it looks great. Give me your opinion on how much better it "feels versus stock. I have a 6AT and the shift knob just feels lights and cheap. Especially since it has that silver plastic cap on it. I am strongly leaning towards the fat silver one, seems like it would just give me better driving feel. I am all about driving feel in this car over other mod categories
