Got MY NEW FRS!!! But...

After so long of waiting i finally got my new FR-S but i feel like the dealer is ripping me off a bit. I got the base FRS black with only a spoiler added. they want me to pay $484 with nothing added, mind you i don't have a bad credit score but they want to give me a 7%. The finance guy told me it might change on Monday depending on what the bank replys to the offer ( i signed for the car yesterday, Saturday. Banks Closed). They also told me the bank might make it cheaper. I left my tC at the dealer ship because they are waiting for me to give my car to carmax and to bring back the check to them. Should i back off? should i hold the check so they are forced to change the price a bit? the car is $25,800, $484 seems like a lot to me.

How old are you? 484 seems high. I think about an extra 100 markup. 7 percent is ridiculously high. If your credit is as good as u think it should be less than 2. Check out penfed.

You're being screwed by your dealer. After it's all said and done, you will pay $35K for a base FR-S. I'd look somewhere else.

Yep, secure your own financing. When I financed mine the dealer told me 4% and I brought in a printout from BofA for 1.9% and they magically matched it.. Also how much are you putting down??

that might have something to do with it. Some loans require 20% down to get a lower rate..but not always. Definitely do some more homework. 7% is a no-go.

I financed mine only because my credit is piss poor from never financing anything. I still got 5% on mine. You can negotiate intrest rates my bank said 6.5% but when I said screw it I'll just pay cash they did the whole let me talk to the manager routine and got me down to 5% so I would finance it.

That number is crazy regardless. Seeing as though your in Miami which dealer are you trying to work with?
