Ok cool thanks. I'm looking to get these soon. I have my diffuser sitting in my room and already have the spats on.

Does installing a different shift knob do anything other than aesthetics?

Yes, some shift knobs are heavier than others.. making the shifts a lot smoother.

This STI one is a bit heavier than the OEM one.. I instantly felt a difference in shifting.

where did you get that shift knob? tried looking but couldnt' find the leather one you posted.

i really like the look of the perrin shift knobs so i got one but because of the way i shift, it's too hard for me as I don't grab it open handed and my ring finger usually gets squished in there lol.

japanparts.com

it's a little expensive but worth it. I wasn't all that impressed with the options out there for shift knobs, many being too heavy or too light or the material not being close enough to the OEM feel.

finally pulled the trigger on this one. hadn't seen anyone post about it so it was a shot in the dark.. I'm happy with it

Got my first oil change today and the dealership ordered parts for the crickets and weatherstripping.

Service tech wrote: "Hearing a noise from engine area sounds like a group of angry crickets.

I also got a pair of these but haven't put them on yet:

I like these for your car's color. Are these Valentis? I'm thinking of these as an option for mine. I want to do the red tails thing too, but also need something to break up all the red in my car.

On Friday I stopped by Parts Shop MAX for wheels spacers, and installed them yesterday.

I purchased one 30mm full set (2x: 15mm bolt-on + 7, 5 and 3mm) and one set of just 15mm bolt-ons. Figured I didn't need 30mm anywhere, so I could mix/match the shims.

NOTE: 20mm is not enough to cover stock studs! I tried the 15+5 and the wheels would not sit flush, even with indents on the back. I needed 22mm at least. Ended up with a total of 22mm F and 23mm R. Not how I was planning to arrange it, but couldn't be done any other way without more shims.

Still, I like how they turned out. And no rubbing at all! This is on RCE Yellows.

I don't have any good "after" pics yet, but I'll post some in my build thread today at some point.

Installed my rear diffuser. This was $69.99 on EBay and looks no different to me than the Subaru one that sells for like $600.

I did reengineer the cheap plastic clips and used real metal hex bolts with locking nuts. Sorry for the bad iPhone pic, the sun is crazy intense today. I plan on adding aftermarket exhaust (I did upgrade the exhaust tips for now) at a later date:
