I found something today that all of you should check. I found a set of rubber plugs in my glovebox. It turns out that these are plugs that should be installed under the car in holes located in the subframe near the rear wheels. This is supposed to be done during PDI but it is often missed. If not installed moisture can get in the sub frame and rust it. I discovered a thread that discusses this and other rubber plugs the dealer should order to install in the trunk to block the rear strut access holes. Forget it. They have no more of the upgraded audio. The supplier stopped making them (months ago) and all current "stock" has been used up. Very unimpressed right now.

Was also told over the phone that the 2014 FR-S is getting a touch screen as standard audio, with a navigation upgrade as an available option. My dealer tried to pull strings and get one of these units ordered for my car and he was told "absolutely not."

I'm really quite irritated and not sure how I am feeling about the car in general at this point. It as been one disappointment after another. I feel like if I take the car at this point, it's going to have so much bad mojo associated with it that I won't even enjoy driving it.

Waiting on another call from the dealer tomorrow for an "aftermarket" audio option. Not sure if I will go this route... they always fit a little wonky and never look as slick as stock audio.

Brently - I am really sorry to hear about this. When my dealer asked me if I wanted the "upgraded" unit I said "NO" just because I didn't want another reason for me to be jerked around.

I had stated it was REALLY UNFAIR how the US got the 6.1 touchscreen as advertised and Scion Canada had not been up front with us not getting the head unit. I get it that for some unknown reasons we can't get it (probably some bureaucratic bullshit) but why not be up front about it instead of making your loyal and excited customers feel like shit about this whole process??

I tried to negotiate some $$ in return for this hassle and all I've got so far is $50 off the spoiler. At this point, I don't want to deal with this crap anymore, I just want my car.

On another note - I spoke to my dealer yesterday and I'm not sure how this relates to the US but he said that the HID lights w/ DRL lights will be coming in as spare parts. THAT ANYBODY CAN ORDER. They have not been mandated by Scion Canada to ask for VIN#, proof of ownership, nor picture of damage. That being said though, he didn't know pricing at this point and said that they will probably be price prohibitive.

Also in other news, I got some pictures taken of my new car which is at the dealership waiting for the spoiler to get installed. I'm #1082 apparently, which is exactly 4 off of the number I wanted (1086 - 10series 86 anyone??). So far my car has been splashed on the local FT86club facebook page and many people want to go check it out at the dealership. I'm hoping that when I go to pick up the car on Saturday that its not missing any parts on it. =/
