and if you go to Georgia, you don't have to deal with the jersey smell, the jersey prices, and jersey drivers!

When I was younger, I would sometimes go to a country club in the summer to learn how to play golf. By the end of each day every kid was allowed to take a used golf club home. From there I built up quite a collection and used them. Sure they were not the state of the art technologically advanced clubs like most are now these days, but they got the job done.

Not gonna lie, never really cared much for classic sports cars, but now I kind of want one. It doesn't have to be a super car, or particularly rare/expensive. Just old, perfectly restored, and cool. I like Eleanor.

Edit: Probably because I watch all those car restore shows like Fast n' Loud and Counting Cars.

Congrats! Not sure I understand the hate for Georgia though. I'd have a for the other move. In fact, I just changed companies to avoid a career decision about having to move to NJ to move up.

Besides, we have a Waffle House on every corner, and lots of Southern Belles (those two are mutually exclusive BTW), so you'll come on down here, ya' hear!

I like both those shows, but I've never seen either produce a car I would call "Just old, perfectly restored, and cool". They do old and cool, but I've never seen the "perfectly restore" a car. Even the F&L Ferrari build was not a good restoration in my opinion, great car, not a great restoration.

That said, they could build a car for me any day.

I guess perfectly restored isn't the right way to put it. I just meant restored in general. Because when they're done, the car is usually just like a new car. And something about that appeals to me. They're not all outrageously priced either. I would love to go to Count's Kustoms, give them a budget similar to what a new car costs (take the FR-S for example and say, 25k) and end up with an awesome classic. Something about that appeals to me.

Sounds like we're on the same page!

Only thing is I would have to have a little more "creative control". I'm not going to just say, here's my money, here's a general idea, now surprise me. Maybe that is just what CK does for the show, but the whole "customer only sees it at the end of the build" thing isn't gonna work for me.

Yup. I work inside, but the shop has no AC, so it gets hot. My area is 92 degrees at the moment. /sigh

Oh, yeah. I especially don't want any horns on my car. XD

I feel like on some of those things they did consult with the people before hand. It's a little hard to believe that people would say, "Do whatever you want!" and pay thousands of dollars for it without getting consulted. If I ever get a chance to go out there I'll definitely keep an eye on it. It would be cool to get a car like that.

Waffle House is my only weakness. If we had one here in Jersey, I'd eat there 7 days a week for breakfast lunch and dinner. Gonna be a lot of tears from the woman if I do end up having to move. I'm not going to be bringing her if she has no way to support herself because I'm not paying the damn bills. She'd have to have something lined up before we made the move or at least have a game plan.

Fucking hairstylists...crazy women...
