Ravspec has some photos of that. But note you will need coilovers to get clearance needed in front to clear running that wide wheel/tire up front.

Sweet Jesus man. 9.5" wide? There's no need for you to run anything wider than a 225 width tire unless you're boosting it (and no powertrain modifications have been thus far mentioned). Honestly running 18x9.5s and wide sticky tires is going be detrimental to your car's driving experience and fuel mileage.

But if you're just after looks then power to you

9.5 is very wide in the front.

I'm running 8.5 in the front, 9.5 in the back. I intend to boost mine down the road though.

I say run wide in the front too. Why would want to limit front grip? The car has huge fenders and it isn't that hard to fit.

Wider the front tires, number the steering feel.

But the more grip I'll have and the faster I can go around corners! I've been running 9" wheels with 245 or 255 tires for the last 30k miles and I love it!

Have fun being slower and have less rotation with a staggered set-up!

The OP has stated nothing about motorsports events. So I'm speaking in his terms (based on his limited comments). For spirited street driving there's no reason to do it.

For motorsports purposes, well of course!

I can only mod for function. If I mod for form my head explodes.

Hey guys, I'm all for form over function, but don't deny that some 19's are looking good on these cars.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40969

Especially these ones:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41544

I think the only real issue is that, the larger the rims, the more "DUB" they tend to go, and that really is not a good look on this car.

Bottom line: Spend decent money, do your research, and get what makes you feel good.

With its limited torque, this car demands light weight wheels and tires. While you can certainly find 18 inch wheels that weigh less then or the same as the OEM 17 inchers (21.4 pounds each), it's the tires that will kill the performance. The OEM tires weigh in at 20 pounds each. Most 18 inch tires run 23-27 pounds. Worse, all of this additional weight is furthest from the center of the rotating mass.

17 inch wheels in the 16 to 18 pound range, plus 18 to 20 pound tires is a significant performance boost to this car.
