Thx Everyone. I think I will go with 18's...I want my car to look good visually, but not sacrifice the handling and agility of the ride. I'm seriously considering the Ray's Gram Lights (57 xtreme). Anyone know where's the best spot online to buy? Also, what do you all think of all four wheels at this size: 18x9.5 +40. Anyone have a picture of a setup with these specs?

18's have just as much function. Their are a few track dedicated frs' with 18's. But 17's if you are staying NA.

Part of the reason why 18" wheels on a FRS will most likely slow the FRS/BRZ (even if you can find very lightweight 18"s) is cause all that weight is further away from the the hub. A 16 lb 17" wheel does not equal a 16 lb 18" wheel. An ounce closer the the center/hub will not hurt you with as much rotational mass as an ounce towards the tires.

Apparently that word doesn't mean what you think it means. There is a reason smart people in this thread have said stay 17 and 16's weren't a bad suggestion either....from a function stand point. I won't be going any larger diameter on the rims on my car, depending on how much brake I end up needing I may well end up on 16's Everyone's OPINON is valid (sort of) but contradicting logic with "because i said so" is stupid |

I know this is off-topic but yeah I'm a little perplexed about the 22.1mpg actually. I do live in the city and I like getting on the throttle, but I think part of it has to do with my larger diameter 18" wheel/tires. I'm back on my 17" wheels now... I'll see if my mpg goes up a bit. I also wonder if the power drawn from my stereo system pulls my mpg down too.

Only 19's I would consider are BBS LM's. Someone did it with a TRD bodykit and it looked spot on. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18050
Other than that, I'd stick with 18's -- There's tons of sources that show they improve performance if you're leaning towards tracking your car, and they still look great. |

This is my take on this:
17"s for a full functional setup. 18"s look the best without sacrificing too much functional 19"s for show. I'm all about functional so I'd go for a 17x9 square setup.

I am rolling with 17x9's now and the ride is great. Handles very very very well.
I want 18's strictly for looks but am still considering some other options.
