MOTIV Concepts Overpipe

Received this box today. What can I say... this is well packaged, the instruction manual is very informative, with actually legible diagrams and decent printouts.
Scored a free MOTIV Concepts shirt with it.
The Overpipe itself is vacuum sealed in a thick plastic bag, a nice touch. The quality of the welds is amazing, not even buffed flat. I dare say the welds on this overpipe are BETTER than the welds on the HKS CBE!

I'll be installing this, most probably in 2-3 weeks time when my carbon fibre drive shaft from DSS arrives. Anyway.. some pics as usual:

Individually Numbered with Serial No.

Each overpipe is uniquely serial numbered. Registration qualifies you for a lifetime warranty guarantee on the part.

One year + One day ago...

Yesterday was my car's first birthday!!(well.. the day I took DELIVERY) of the car. Didn't get anything for it, was planning on getting a $3k basic setup, but thought it would be more prudent to actually start saving up some money instead of modding the car.

Carbon fibre driveshaft should be arriving this coming monday, which will be installed with the MOTIV overpipe. Then will get the car tuned, and hopefully get a dyno tune. RexSpeed mirrors also on their way, as is the P3cars.net Vent/Guage combo

Went for a cruise with our local 86/BRZ club to Serpentine today. Asked one of the guys if he could take some happy snaps of my car in its current state for me.

At the initial meetpoint somewhere in the northern suburbs.

Dear Diary..

Today my carbon fibre driveshaft arrived from the U S of A.. Americuuuuh!!
Also, two days ago(Wed, 11th July), a HKS non-catted dual resonated front pipe was ordered and paid for. Should be arriving monday next week.

Yesterday, my MOTIV overpipe was installed @ Exhaust World. The cable that is supplied with the HKS header isn't an extension cable as originally assumed, it is parts for a new O2 sensor location to be situated somewhere on the exhaust system.

Some pics of the carbon fibre goodness.

Some stickers

Very cool. I like your detail into your wheel/brakes area. Are there any center caps available to match your car?

Hey there.

Yeah, you can get WedsSports center caps but I never bother with them. Makes the wheel area look a bit too 'busy'. Sometimes less is more. ^_^

Some late night photo shoot courtesy of yours truly.
Hey, I don't have a good camera so forgive the quality of the GS2!

Wonder if anyone can pick out the subtle detail in this picture..

HKS Catless Dual Resonated Front Pipe

HKS Goodies came in today.

Ordered this Thursday last week from Bruce @ Performance Wholesale. As always with prior dealings with Bruce, it was no hassle and very quick. Thanks once again HKS Australia /plug
It's always good to support your forums vendors, and double-y good to support LOCAL business.

Some pics as always..

I'm VERY KEEN to get it fitted tomorrow morning along with the carbon fibre driveshaft. Can't wait to hear the note of a JDM Kwalitee exhaust!!

TRD Badge

Almost forgot to mention, I got this aluminium embossed TRD badge on Monday.

Here is a comparison pic to my matte finish Grazio Toyota badge(rear).

Looks good

Similar shape.. so far..

Doesn't cover the badge holes.. :/ Will probably look at some plastic plug or something for it.

O2 Spacer, HKS Front Pipe + DSS CF D/Shaft install

Had my JDM and USDM goodies installed this morning. Peter @ Exhaust World kindly took some pictures for me.

Old Front Pipe and Old Driveshaft(with collar)

HKS Catless Dual Resonated Front Pipe(left side of picture is front of car)

Rear part of driveshaft(left side of picture is rear of the car)

Carbon Fibre Driveshaft from The DriveShaft Shop and HKS Front Pipe
Quite a snug fit.(left side of picture is front of car)

Secondary O2 'spacer' to remove CEL(Check Engline Light). It's like a big hexagonal nut with O2 fitting on the end. O2 side has a couple of 1mm dia holes to mimic a Catalyic Converter. Just to fool the sensor that there is a Cat when there isn't.
