I believe the Supermarine Spitfire proves that theory kinda wrong...

The real question is who are the youngest? I know many one person 17-19 years old in my area with a whiteout FR-S auto in PA who goes/went to my school. Kind of hard to show they have as much driving skill as the older peeps

I recall a British guy name of Wittle. Invented some low tech thing called the Jet Engine.

It's been awhile since I had a car to call my own but tonight I dropped the hammer and put a deposit on a 2014 DGM MT BRZ ST. So the BRZ is going to be my pre-retirement toy where I can look forward to the next few bends in the road (and no radar traps). At 61 I should have a few more miles on the old odometer to go yet.

Very cool thread, and thanks to all the mature posters sharing their ages. I turned 40 this year, and thought surely I was one of the oldest on the forum. Happy to see that the enthusiasm for this car crosses all age groups! The truly sad thing is that this is really my first sports car, and while it's damn long overdue, I must say it's a fine one to be the first!

When addressing the older owners (myself 50yrs old) ... the appropriate question is:

"How many years have you been ABOVE ground?"

I just turned 64 and have an FR-S 10 Series coming in a few days. I have shopped a lot of cars through a broad price range but when I sat in a BRZ at a car show, it just fit. It is odd to me that so many fellow owners are in their early twenties and it will be odd to be a Scion owner, but there you go. It is the car that is just right for me right now.

It's not odd. Just drive, and enjoy the car. Sixty-four and counting. . . . .

Good on you!

Yep, at age 70, my advice to you is to ...... leave the nanny systems engauged (most likely "it" can think faster than most of us older folks ... ).

My wife was pissed when I bought my FRS. She told me I was too old for it, and I am only 38. My two kids fit just fine in the car. She doesn't have to ride with me anyway! (Although when I work weekend nights, she likes to take the car out while I am sleeping during the day. LOL) Nice to see some of you more "seasoned" people are still enjoying yourselves. You all will be my inspiration!
