Velox VX6-R.

http://phantasmusa.com/vevsiwh.html

When I called them a year ago, only the all-silver ones are available, not the ones with the polished lip. Also they list the weight as 14.5lbs but I think someone on here weighed them at more like 15.5lbs, but at $180/wheel it's still a good deal and they don't look terrible.

I've done a fair bit of research and there really isn't anything else out there except used wheels. You can look on NASIOC and see guys selling 5x100 17x7 +42-45 wheels pretty often, including lighter weight ones like the old OZ Superleggera.

Aren't those +40?

Wheel math makes my brain hurt. The stock wheels are +48mm. The rulebook says +/- 6mm and you can use a spacer, but a spacer would only be effective with a high offset (right?).

I picked up a set of the Kosei K1 TS's off of NASIOC from a WRX guy who had stopped autocrossing... Got them for around $350 for the set. Yea, it's not my fav wheel but it's just for my autocross tires. I do like the dual air valves.

By looking at the cars, CS seems to be more of the turbo'd 4's. Except they haven't moved the MX-5 out of there yet... That's a bit odd.

The twins will be very competitive in EStreet.

I wonder what's going to happen with pax-ing. I would hope the new stock/street classes will get the RTR adjustment.

There are no turbo cars in CS, most of those cars are in DS. CS has traditionally been where RWD coupes go. So right now it's the MX-5, Solstice, 350/370Z, FR-S/BRZ, RX-8, and 2000 M-Coupe/Roadster. Next year the Solstice gets moved to BS along with the 2007 MX-5 MSR.

The NC MX-5 isn't a very good autocross car, they made the suspension way too soft, so not many people autocross them. I am not sure why they didn't move them to ES...

Rick Ruth will likely set the "street" PAX somewhere around the the current PAX multiplied times the .975 adjuster. There is a lot of data from Milwaukee/Chicago which have huge RT classes as well as national RT results so he may not just apply the .975 to the current Stock PAX. We will have to wait and see.

I'm not confident the 86 will get moved to ES in the end. There are enough people against the move I think the proposal may fail.

I agree. CS seems to be a good fit for the twins. Even if it does get moved, I'd be okay with it. There are a few people locally that would make the class very competitive.

Not true, there are turbo cars in there in the proposed CStreet... 300zx, porsche 944 (951), MR2 Turbo & Supercharged. Definitely some more powerful cars moving in to CS (not that they are all great autoX cars...) BMW M Coupe/Roadster, Z3 V6 also moving there... I agree WRT CS in the past.

With the right tires & shocks they're pretty competitive (maybe not at the top levels nationally). But yes, they belong in the new EStreet.

If the BRZ gets a "performance package"

http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2013...-arrives-37551

What will this mean for stock / RTR ? Different classing? Exclusion list? package conversions?

17x7.5 wheels. Lower springs. Strut brace.

These are dealer installed kits and likely will not be stock legal. The only reason cars like the MSR were legal is there were a the minimum (4) original, factory MSR cars built. This meant that kits to replicate them were legal.

I hope so

If the 2015 BRZ / FRS gets 7.5" or 8" wheels, that will screw up classing.

I haven't found a link to it, but I'm being told that the August 2013 Fast Track draft is out and has moved us back to C Street. I don't know any of changes yet as I am still searching for a copy.

Im confused by the BRZ/STI to STU entry. Are they just pre-empting Subaru in an STI model launch?

Base C5 allowed in STU sounds interesting. If I didnt have a twin in RTR/CS, I'd consider that for next year.
