No, no, we got them first (I think)! Hehe. I ended up picking mine up last Thursday and have been WAAAY too preoccupied with cruising around in the new baby to have posted some pics. My apologies, ladies and gents!

With no further ado, I present #0116. . .

As I don't have my vehicle yet, can anyone tell me if there is a green wire coming from the back of the headlight harness. This green wire is supposed to be the LED low lead (12v +0.5w) and whether or not it is an 8pin socket like Japan/UK or 6pin like USDM standard FR-S.

Not an electrician so maybe I am on the wrong path, was reading of this here

JDM Headlights working like this:
1. Not Used (Empty)
2. White - LED High (DRL 3.3W mode, 12V+ *must bypass the resistor on USA FRS to power this)
3. Green - LED Low (12V+ 0.5 w mode)
4. Black 12 Guage - LED Common GND
5. Red (12guage) - HID Ballast 12V +
6. Black (12 guage) - HID Ballast GND
7. Yellow - High Beam bulb position actuator 12+
8. Blue - High Beam bulb position actuator GND

Standard FR-S attaching to JDM GT86 headlight like so:
1. Green (High beam) 12V ----> Blue bulb position actuator 12V+
4. White (High beam) GND ---> Yellow bulb position actuator GND
3. Red - (Low beam) 12V------> Red HID Ballast 12V
2. Black - (low beam) GND-----> Black HID ballast GND
5. unused on FRS headlight but pre-wired on the car (parking GND)--------> 16guage Black LED Common GND
6. unused on FRS headlight but pre-wired on the car (parking 12V)--------->Green LED Low 0.5w mode 12V+

If I read this correctly, if it is 6pin socket, with #6 unused, we can connect pre-wired parking 12v to run Low LED mode

Any thoughts, ignore me if I rambled on the wrong path?

First post, definitely wont be my last... went to Steven Creek Subaru (SJ)... still had crazy 6k mark up on white with atleast 15 other brz in near by dealers. 2k mark up on other colors.... didnt wanna budge at all... I even asked if i was in the wrong place and they said yes, totally gave me the boot. Went back home, saw the nearest scion, just received a rs10... did the paperwork and it became mine... they had it for half a day because it was traded auto to manual... i think it was meant for me. Reminds me of my e36 M... im happy

I would assume that the series 10 cars would have the 8 pin socket so we have to see what unused connectors we have. Maybe it will have all the JDM pinouts but is disabled by the ECU? Anyways, mine wont be in till the 2nd of August. Its going to be a very very very very long 2ish weeks
