Surely there will be TRD shocks offered with these? Warranty or not I don't want to deal with blown shocks. Even my slug Yaris has TRD shocks on it. Unbelievable that there are no struts/shocks available for this car yet, the Koni inserts are a joke.

You have to be delusional to buy these things. Seriously with the amount of detritus on the roads, construction issues, poorly designed driveways and culverts, the existing 4.9 inches is hardly enough. Lowering springs on the FR-S is equivalent to wearing flip flops in a crack house.

The roads aren't that good due to the freezing and thawing regimen, however I think California can be worse because of the way that concrete slabs fail (concrete is rarely used in NE). But the problem is even with 99.99% okay roads, one bad curb can scrang your whole front lip.

Sorry for the stupid question, but how does lowering the springs impact struts? I have no modding knowledge.

New at this for am thing, anyway what is a better investment just getting the lowering springs or the TRD coil overs, I figured if I'm going to get BBS rims and brembo brakes shouldn't I go with the coil overs, and if I do should I get the front and rear sway bar??? Help

These springs are not going to mess up your struts/shocks. They are designed to work on the stock struts/shocks and still keep you in warranty. I called the dealer and verified this.
As for these or coilovers? Well coilovers are going to give you more flexibility and probably the best solution overall. They are also very expensive. I dont need adjustable settings as all I really want is the car to be lowered a little bit so there is not so much empty space between the wheel well and tire. For me springs are all I need. |

So at work today i looked into these springs and they don't come up in our system yet so i can't tell you a price but they do come up as a good part number on dealer daily and there are currently 0 in the US and are listed as being on STOP SALE. so there must be something they were not happy with and decided to change/fix or something is holding them up in a manufacturing sense.
