At $7k it shows pretty well just how expensive a turbo model of the FRZ would be.

It definitely looks better in real life, it looks hideous in that mock up picture. If you added the STI suspension, is it real coilovers or just springs?

I'm only interested in the lip kit. Bring it over to the US already, Subaru!

Don't count on it coming out here. SoA is not in agreement with SoJ to release these parts.

Agreed, You could get a Rexspeed lip Kit for the exterior, some nice Enkei Rims that are actually lighter, Slotted and drilled rotors and upgraded pads, short throw shifter, front and rear sway bars and end links , catted headers and head-back cat-less exhaust, intake and tune, for equal or less money, and it would actually make the car faster.

No it doesn't, b/c 1) it's Australia so the prices aren't comparable to anything that would be sold in the US and 2) nobody would buy a turbo model that cost even more than that (okay not "nobody" but very few people).

Exactly... Which is probably a good part of the reason why there is no turbo model or plans to have a turbo model. Subaru/Toyota know they won't sell enough at 35k+ to be worth producing them.

The problem with that $35k logic is that Scion could easily market a supercharged FRS for $29-30k. The only person that would think a bump to $35k makes any sense is someone that considers Porsche's pricing strategy the standard of the industry.

I don't think it makes sense, but that doesn't mean that's not what they would do. I don't think $7k for the 'S' package that started this thread makes sense either. I know, $7k extra on an Aussie BRZ isn't the same, but what is, $5k? Still doesn't make sense to me. And if it is $5k for some suspension upgrades and a handful of aesthetic items, you better believe that a turbo trim is going to be price above that, especially since a turbo trim would most likely include suspension tweaks, brake upgrades and some different aesthetics...

You seem to think that I am arguing about what Toyota/Subaru could do. Don't get me wrong, I think that they definitely could come out with a turbo trim for $5k. I just think they won't and I think the price of this BRZ S package is some good evidence for that.
