Ugh... I'm hopelessly addicted to Attack on Titan now. It's been a long time since I've been this into an anime/manga series.

Yeah, Puella Magi Madoka Magica was the last series I couldn't wait for the next episodes to be released...and those were much longer wait times between each episode.

Speaking of addicted to AoT, 75+ minutes of awesome I ordered just came in today:

Might just be my favorite OST so far, Birdy the Mighty: Decode was my previous favorite OST...but this one is just kick'n with my Denon reference headphones on my audio system... highly recommended if you wan't more than the little blips of sound you hear in the series.

Will definitely be driving with this OST kickn' through my iPod in my FR-S for the next few days at least...

I ordered that as well as all of the manga volumes in the US so far. :B I REALLY like that soundtrack a lot. The composer also did the Gundam Unicorn soundtracks, and I think he's quickly rising as one of my favorites.

Birdy the Mighty: Decode was a prey epic show actually and was very quick to add the OP song to my collection of OST's. That one track from the second season is epic when cranked up.

My latest fav is this from Yamoto 2199. Crank it loud [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig8COgoI-dI"]KOKIA 記憶の光 - YouTube[/ame]

Very much reminds me of the Broken Blade OP...nice.

Vogel im Kafig (track 7) and DOA (track 8) are the tracks I keep coming back to on the AoT OST... But all the tracks are excellent. And after hearing this I think there should be an official piano version of Vogel im Kafig:

Funny that as it tends to be overwhelmingly the other way round. One of my main reasons for picking up language studies was to keep reading manga for show's I've enjoyed.

Speaking of the more recent shows SAO (Sword Art Online) and Accel World were great if you love PC gaming related story lines.

I'm also a huge fan of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon / Horizon on the middle of nowhere. Seasons 1 & 2 had it all with great story, animation, music and character design is epic. I hear some episodes took months to animate.

That was a beautiful rendition. I was initially turned off the show around 5 eps in with that massive plot twist (not going to spoil it for any that haven't seen the show), but left it for a few eps and then picked it up again. Its a fascinating plot and quite an addictive show so far. Its one of those deeper thinking man's (and girls.. never forget the girls) shows.

Mangas are typically better yeah, but in the case of AoT...the narrative is pretty effin bad.

I'm a little upset with SaO, the light novel was very epic read. especially the most recent chapter. When it was ported to anime i was a little disappointed how it was portrayed, but at the same time it was to be expected because the production of that anime anime was a condition the author wanted to allow the studio to produce accel world anime.

Seemly the author said that Accel world and SaO are actually in the same universe and he wants to tie the two together.

I hope they revisit SaO as there is still much more story to cover.

Which version of the manga are you reading for AoT? The scanslation or the actual release? The stories are practically the same. There are just a few flashbacks they moved around for better continuity. The official Kodansha releases have a much better translation and lack the horrible grammar so it flows a lot better.
