Also if the warranty has started on it that would mean its considered used I would think so maybe you could have them throw in the extended warranty to make up for what has already been used.

I don't even have the car yet and the curse is already affecting me. I hate that I'm missing this driving season and I'll get the car in the winter.

I know its aggravating to be in a situation like this, but good lord are you blowing it out of proportion. The dealer is trying to work with you, if what they're offering doesn't make you happy then move on to dealer number next. Thats it. You are creating hell for some salesman because of some logistical shit that can't be helped.

OP. I will sell you my 2013 BeSpoke head unit for $400 shipped, that's over $400 less than what you'd pay for the upgrade, and it's plug and play. Takes less than 10 minutes to swap it. PM me for details.

Thanks to everyone who gave advice and tried to help out. I decided to leave my dealership and go back to the one who had the car in stock. They matched my dealership's offer and gave me everything I needed, including the head unit, and I'll still get my car a week earlier than the original dealership.
I'll be happy camper this coming Tuesday!

Apparently this is why the 10 Series FR-S that ordered Pioneer Upgraded Audio (Because Scion Canada doesn't give 6.1" Standard MY2014 unit like in U.S.) have been waiting at port for 3 weeks. Word from dealership is that you are correct, it is impossible to get a hold of Pioneer Upgraded Audio unit as manufacturer stopped making them 3 months ago. Someone was given the same option as you, go aftermarket at dealer cost.

Should be noted that Scion Canada corporate was contacted, a new standard unit for 2014 is coming. BUT they will not allow any Canadians to order it.
