EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD:

Exchange rate is above 1USD/100Yen, will look to buy in next week.

I will PM you the details sometime early this week, and look to order by end of week.

Thanks.

-alex

Edit: It may be cheaper to order 2 orders of 4 sets and have it sent directly to my door, as the shipping charge is almost identical versus 8 sets sent to LAX (and requires pickup from the freight forwarder)... will research more but current price is ~$215-220 each set after shipping.

Update:
I just PM'd everyone details. The listed price on Japanparts.com is not what you pay; that final price varies depending on Paypal and/or credit card exchange rates at time of transaction.

There is also the Customs duty that may be added on (2.5%), but if I get sent the bill afterwards I'll let everyone know.

As it stands, including myself there's 9 people interested. I may order 3 sets of 4 kits, and find buyers for the remaining 3 kits... will see how many people actually pay this week.

PM if you have questions, thank you.

Just be careful with that. If the yen/dollar changes a lot then you might have to sell it at a loss.

Not too worried as it can't go much higher than what it is now. Japan's economy is still weak and the government won't let me appreciate in value vs USD like it was over the past 3+ years.

Everyone:

I've emailed those interested (listed their name on the Google Doc), but no one has replied.

Just an FYI, the site lists payment in Yen (based on exchange rates, converted to USD), however the bank or PayPal rate is not the same. Bank rates often vary and many credit card add a "foreign exchange fee" a few days to a week after the initial charge.

As for Paypal:

Quote:
PayPal Conversion Rate as of Jul 10, 2013: 1 U.S. Dollar = 97.6141 Japanese Yen
Currently the price of 4pcs shipped to my house via Paypal, is around ~$225 each piece. It's creeping up daily as the Yen was ~101 just yesterday, and ~99 today.

Until I get payments I won't be making any large purchases, and if it's only the single person that wants to buy, then I will do this on my own.

Update:

I ordered a set of 4 today, total cost was $909.XX so each set is $230 shipped to my house.

Remember that there may be a 2.5% Customs duty, I won't know until several weeks after the shipment arrives. I will make separate arrangements with people on this.

Two of the kits are spoken for, and 2 are available. Due to the severe lack of reply/interest on this, unless something else comes up I won't be doing another buy for members.

Please PM me if you are interested. And for those of you reading this from the front page, THIS IS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. I am not interested in shipping it due to liability reasons (shipping)

Thanks!

I can ship it only under one condition: the panels will be shipped "AS IS" and I am not liable for damages, even if shipping company is at fault and/or loses the package.

I am not in the business of importing/selling/reselling these parts and am not making money, and even the process of shipping/packing will make me lose money.

So unless someone wants to agree to that, I will not be shipping as I have no way of getting more panels without a significant loss on my end.

Another update:

Package dimension is 150x61x27CM, approx 59x24x11" for all four panels.

If they are packaged individually and can be inserted into a larger box, I may be able to ship these at buyer's discretion if I can find suitable packaging (i.e. exhaust box, etc)
