I built an M3 brand new, was about to order it, I think it was built at $81kish tax incl, but changed my mind again...

I wanted something unique, the FRS was it. so I bought it as a daily and unique car. I fell in love, then thought, why not make it my own "M" and talk about unique. after 12k miles on my Raven, glad to say it's the most fun I've had in a car...i'm still under the M3 cost and that's all I care about at the moment...I don't "Build cars" im letting these awesome techs do the work. the car is going to be Born as a TRD, i'm not unwrapping it and im not taking that window sticker till she's done, push start included lol.

I like to be different...that's all. you've mentioned very nice cars I love them all, this is what called my name this round...

oh, no body kit tho
I'm not sure how unique it will be when it's still a mass produced Subaru. Not hating. If it were my money, I'd rather buy a 2014 Cayman S, but that's just me.

1m is a 1 series
M3 is a 3 series

Frs is purposeful car built for track from ground up

My own
Perspective. I love all the cars in this post, I'd buy any of these and be proud, but I feel a TRD gt86 is pretty unique. It's on a 10 series as well, and it's on a manual at that, there are only 700 of these made in a manual, how many will be trd? If if its all of them, that's as rare as a 1m.

My own perception. 31 flavors are avail for a reason

I know I'm going to track my 10 series... if I had gone 1M (which financially I cant) I would hesitate to even use it as a daily... far to collectible compared to the FR-S... unless I could own 2... the I'd keep one as a collectible and one as a DD... but I need to win the loto first... lol

A M3 I'm currently DD'ing one... I have nothing negative to say about it, except that it's a heavy pig being a vert, and a gas guzzler... but the sound... oh God that engine is jizz worthy...

Still can't wait to get my hands on my FR-S

What do you mean not as fast... it's the fastest M3 ever made!

And yes... the engine is beautiful... it sings all the way to 8250RPM's

Straight line, yes, and rather easy (just a flash tune away from 400 HP)... cornering... no... the added width from the M3 suspension helps the M3 stick... the 3 series and 1 series are both very loose at the limit and spin out... I saw this first hand on the M school where some of the drivers wanted to use the 135 instead of the 1M cause it was auto... all I saw was the 135 constantly spinning around on the oval and figure 8...

The E92 M3 is only about 70 pounds heavier than the E46 M3

The 1M is quicker in tracks with short straightaways though, as the shorter wheelbase and wide stance help it corner better than the M3...

Take it to a truck weighing station off a highway, they should let you weigh your car for a reasonable price, or maybe free if they like you

Such a great build, I'm really digging your attention to the small details.

Awesome! Only thing that stands out to me is the color/texture is slightly different than the factory diffuser and doesn't look like it matches 100%. Still awesome tho.

100% best build I have seen on here! Personally I think your attention to detail is what makes this build so amazing! Keep the pictures coming my man!!

Makes sense since the TRD Japan rear doesn't have the same US spec texture I don't think. Or even the Euro/Japan spec for that matter.
